After trying to find a watch that I liked (decided to get this: http://store.dieseltimeframes.com/store/Diesel/en_US/shop/men/watches/digital/digital-dz7130p.html?parent_category_rn=229007&departmentCategoryId=227029&N=0&Ns=p_msc1%7C0%7C%7Cp_weight%7C0&pn=c&cm_vc=227032&rec=7&imagePath=DZ7130), I also stumbled upon a lot of weird watches like these: http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/1/ I'm thinking, although they seem impractical, would any of you wear these?
I wouldn't they are interesting but I would never be able to tell the time at a glance and as far as watches go I always go for something rugged. The one I've been wearing most lately is this one http://www.casio-europe.com/euro/watch/gshock/gw-2310-1er/ I know G-Shocks aren't the prettiest watches or likely to impress anyone but they are tanks and very reliable.
I don't know what exactly it is, but this watch is freaking sick. I would totally rock this, and I don't think it would take long for me to quickly tell the time honestly, since it's broken down into sections. I want one now http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/kisai/sensai_pure/
Was looking at that one as well. The simplicity is awesome, and the touch screen is enough to make my private parts harden even more.
I used to have a binary watch, you do eventually get used to telling the time at a reasonable speed. Not quite as fast as the system you've likely been using your entire life though, I think it took me about 3-4 seconds on average.
I've got several "different" watches (including a binary watch), many of them from Tokyoflash. My most recent watch purchase was this: http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/MOTOACTV/MOTOACTV/MOTOACTV-US-EN And yeah, it's a watch too...
Have you rooted it yet? There's a whole bunch of Android powered watches coming out so hopefully they'll all be easy to root and some watch specific apps will be available in the platform's future. http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/24/motoactv-torn-down-and-rooted-turned-into-a-tablet-for-ants/ I actually own a Onhand PDA watch which was a totally stupid purchase but at least it could play tetris. I doubt that thing even works anymore though it's not like I ever a watch. http://www.pconhand.com/onhandpc.asp
Nope, I actually use the training functionality and don't feel a need to mess with what's working. Although I will admit the thought of turning it into a tiny tablet seriously appeals to the geek side of me.
Based on the video it doesn't look like you lose any functionality by rooting it since you can switch between the launchers. Ether way these Android watches are a hell of a lot more useful then sticking an iPod Nano on a wrist strap since they have bluetooth.
Given how useful it is to me in it's unrooted state, and the little I'd have to gain by rooting it, I'll pass.
