I noticed a weird issue with one of my ipod touch systems today. At the bottom of the screen there is a grey strip, about the size of a row of icons. It is the area where safari, music ect is usually located at. Those items, safari ect. were then moved up and mixed in with the games and I have been unable to get the grey strip to go away. It was fine yesterday but I just noticed it today when I turned it on. This is an 8gb 2g ipod touch system, non jb and the newest firmware. System seems a little laggy and slow. However, if I boot up a game, there is no grey strip on the screen. Any ideas...
You mean the dock? And there is suppose to be a strip of gray under that for where the text of the names of each app are when you put apps in your dock. Just put whatever apps you want back into your dock, like safari etc... Hold down on your icons until they start to wiggle, and drag them down into your dock. Otherwise you'll need to post a screenshot of what it looks like so we know what your talking about.
Thanks... I was confused because I had been unable to move those icons back to the grey strip. However, after reading your post I tried again and pulled my finger all the way off the screen and they dropped in. I also didn't realize there were a bunch of dots in the grey strip (because it is always full) and that threw me off as well. Bottom line, I am a noob and the problem has been solved. Thanks...
