I miss the pre-christmas days

Now... I can barely read the forums without people whining

 

Ok. Number one - smart alec. I have never been nor will I ever be a "smart alec." I simply put people in their place with sarcasm. Number two - place suck. This place most certainly does not suck. If you're unhappy with it then stop whining and leave. This is the most realistic community of life - except online. If you haven't dealt with sarcasm before, then you have been extremely sheltered. Lastly, the dates you listed as "great dates" were the days when double posting a thread was a HUGE problem. It has cooled down a bit thanks to the mods. This was not only annoying to look at, but it also created a tension between the senior members and junior members who simply didn't realize what they were doing was obnoxious. Back then TA was one of the most tense, prickiest sites you could go on - but people came back. Not for the people, but for the games. Now, most come back for the people. Sure knowing when games are out is cool, but the growth of this community has kept a lot of people here.

If your unhappy, deal with it. Stay away from spam threads, and try to enjoy TA instead of whining about people being "smart alecs."

I've never been a big poster, but I've been posting a lot less lately, I tend to just check the front page and new releases instead of bothering with the forums anymore

Honestly, can you name any iDevice gaming forums (or any forums for that matter) that aren't full of spam? I doubt you can, mainly because a large majority of iDevice gamers appear to be age 12-18, and obviously have trouble containing their hormone-filled, Doritos-fueled excitement over existing and upcoming games for this platform.

I've done my share of spamming here (one-liners, pictures, etc.), but most of my off-topic posts are directed toward people that have posted completely useless garbage like, "Ah needz mah Minigorez" and "Is it out yet? I really hope it's out soon!!!". Honestly, the people that post spam like that are the reason for the pages and pages of spam that follow. Most of the time they need to be told to shut up. If you had been here for the Minigore thread you would know what i'm talking about.

Also, it's obvious that you're an Ngmoco fanboy (which you have every right to be), and you only seem to get upset with this terrible website when someone posts anything even slightly off-topic in your precious Eliminate thread. The Mods and Admins are doing a good job here, especially considering the current size of this community. If it's so unbearable for you then leave. Email Ngmoco directly if it's so important that you stay in contact with them. Either that or quit whining and accept the fact that this is the way public forums are nowadays.

Hold on... you're one of the people complaining about the state of the site, but you come out with something like that? The argument is coming apart at the seams.

Sadly, it appears some people don't detect joking well on the internet.

 

The real problem is some people are dreadful at getting jokes across through text.

 

Well, considering the jokes were all explained a page or two back, I'd say that isn't the problem.
