We do. This place has now been over ran by immature kids and they're giving this place a bad name. I mean hell, we have threads dedicated to spam and just recently a random thread about a poll being good. Seriously guys. We're spamming like a Bat Outta Hell (Not the member). I love this place to death but I bet a lot of members come in to this place and see all the spam and complaining and don't want to join it. Speaking of complaining, if you don't like the price of a game wait for a sale or better yet buy an iTunes Gift Card and if you can't do that then I guess you're S.O.L. I feel sad for the mods and Hodapp, Arn having to put up with all this crap. And I really agree with Brewstermax, this place is full of heartless kids that have nothing else better to do than pick on some one and post mindless spam. -Cheers Slapshot
i like it when normal people try and be mods and compalining about a price is isn't spam it is a legit concern about the game
i agree with you slapshot. too many people are acting a fool in these forums nowadays, especially because of waiting for eliminate and all.
This website sucks. Unfortunately, it is the only place you can go where the developers engage with users. The moderation team here is way too inactive, the people are immature, the rules are never enforced. The problem is that there just isn't any competition. If another site opened up with well-enforced rules and even half this place's level of developer interaction, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. I may leave here soon anyways, I just can't stand dealing with all of the nonsense.
Which posts are you looking at? It's always seemed reasonable to me. People disagree with one another from time to time (hell, Arn himself just pwned Spungo in the Canabalt topic) and they make a few friendly jokes and someties get carried away, but that's okay... it's just how conversation works. Occasionally someone acts like a total ass, or someone creates an account just to advertise and spam links, and they disappear pretty damn quickly, I'm betting most of us don't even notice they were ever here thanks to the quick reactions from the mods.
Yeah, I know things change and progress, but I feel that TA has hit the end of it's forward stride and is now in a regressive state. It sucks to watch too. Blake and Arn started a site, a community last year that was engaging, informative and overall a place I, as well as many others felt as a "comfort zone". That's gone. Once on TA everyone was respectful or the rest of the community would make them leave. Now nearly every other time I comment in a thread it seems I'm being challenged or disrespected. Seemingly this is just for the sake of anothers enjoyment in "drama-queen" mentality.
Just a friendly reminder, the forums are far too vast for all the moderators to read every thread. If you report posts, things get taken care of if the rules are being broken. kmacleod, according to our records you've reported a total of one (1) thread. If you want to contribute to making the forums a better place, report posts that break the rules instead of just being smug about how much it sucks around here because of how inactive the moderators are.

It isn't my job to keep your site under control. That is what you have moderators for. The problem is systemic. It is a general immaturity and lack of interest in intelligent discussion among much of the community. If I was going to report every single off-topic post and stupid internet picture posted and every instance of one-word "Facepalm" or "Lol" or "OWNED" replies people posted, then I'd be reporting every damn thread several times a day. You don't wanna sift through that, and I don't want to report that. Perhaps the problem is that I'm hoping that this site would be something that is isn't; namely, a mature, intelligent place for users to discuss games they care about and to interact with developers to help make those games better.
