I'd LOVE to see some Scumm (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) games on the iPhone. I know that with a jailbreak you can install ScummVM and do this, but I'd like to see some official stuff. I'd love to play all the games I used to play on my Mac: Sam and Max Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Monkey Island...

Jeez, they would be so perfect. Any chance these would arrive in the App Store? Who do we contact to plead these? :D

  2. I would love Sam and Max and Monkey Island (only the first 2 of course). Not sure if anything official will come out.

I wish I could find those games somewhere around here... hmmm... I still have a PowerBook so if I installed "Classic" I could play 'em.

I think Myst is still being developed... Hmmm...

I'd love Myst, too. It's probably going to appear out of nowhere one of these days.

wow, well, it's really only a jailbreak away. just like just about everything people seem to be requesting these days. You can play almost every scumm game.

    here's the list

  11. Damn! There's Broken Sword listed. I loved that game! I have a 2G Touch so that's me out of jailbreaking even if I wanted to.

Well there is an emulator called ScummVM as someone said. Theoretically speaking if you download the emulator, and download some roms, you could enjoy all these classics on your computer at home!

I've been playing Monkey Island on my Mac, but an iPhone version would be perfect!
Seeing as most of the SCUMM games are now freeware, it should be possible to release SCUMM VM on the App Store... At least I think so...

I know I can play on a jailbroken iPod/iPhone but... Call me old fashioned, but jailbreaking/hacking/etc is not my thing...

No love for Day of the Tentacle?

I have an iPod Touch 2g, and I'd rather not have to jailbreak to play these great games (although it's not as if we 2gers have the option right now).

You can find some of these games on Macintosh Garden, at http://mac.the-underdogs.info/ , as freeware. Only thing is, you need Classic environment to run them on your Mac.

Day of the Tentacle was probably my favorite. Man, I love(d) that game.

And THANK YOU for that link. They have Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade! :)

Unfortunately, there's still no known method of JB'ing the 2G Touch - only the 1st gen is supported.
