Sorry if this has already been asked.... But when it comes to entering names... I can't get off the text entry screen... Is this a bug or there a work around?

 

The dev said a fix has already been sent in.

It's an easy one to find... So wonder why devs didn't spot it

 

That's a strange one because for me I just pressed the button in the bottom right corner of the keyboard to put it away and everything works fine?
Is it only the ipad that has this button? Is that where the problem is.

This game is incredible fun once you realise all the possibilities. It's more awesome than it first lets on.

 

Really enjoying this game, it's been a long time since a rogue like hooked me this bad(or good? Asked the wife and she said its bad :/). Anyways, thanks for the great game!!

Well i managed to name myself by typing my name then quitting the app to the multitask bar. Then closing the app on the multitask bar. Then reopen the app. Didn't work for pets though.

Then I realised that naming the pets has zero consequences on the gameplay here. I guess it will be rectified in an update but in no way does it stop you playing the game.

I'm getting worried by the lack of any comment from Undeadcow about this game. He should be all over this. I hope our RPG guru is good because I haven't seen much from him lately. I tried to pm him but I'm not sure if it worked cos the TA app is buggy. Sry for off topic but I thought he would be all over this.

On topic. There's some great rogue-likes on IOS for sure but this one just tips them all for me. No two games are alike and the range of options and gear is beyond entertaining. I can't stop playing this.

I completely agree with your on topic part as well. I know I keep saying how much I love this, but I have to say it again! I FRICKEN LOVE THIS GAME. Btw, I can't find the store anymore.. I want to buy another pack, but I can't until I find the store...

 

Mostly because I'm just "dev", singular, not "devs" . I do most of my full-game testing on iPad (i.e. actually playing the game), where the problem doesn't happen.

I shouldn't be offering excuses though - it's fixed for 1.1.5 and I'll keep this difference between iPhone and iPad in mind in future!

 

Dammit! The store disappears when you've bought one pair. You'll still be prompted when you take a different class to 300 feet though. Testing store functionality is a real pain in the sandbox mode, but I should have seen this one.

I'll let 1.1.5 go through first as fixing the text entry bug is more important than keeping the store visible.

 

Turning the speed down all the way helps , he just moves to fast at default when running . At least on the touch 5g . Also is there a menu to see all your high scores and stats ? I've looked but I'm not seeing this .

Yes but I got back to the store by playing a different class and hurriedly bought everything in case it went again. I think if you start a new game with a new class you can get back to the store as a workaround. Worked for me anyway.

Edit : Ty for bringing this game btw , it's incredibly more some. I just cannot stop playing

 

This is pretty cool. I wish the attack button is on the right side, or at least if there could be an option to switch the arrangements of the control buttons. (Unless I missed it and it's actually there...)


Edit: nevermind, played a bit more, realise one can just tap directly and attack. duh me.

 

I know what you mean. Spend enough time on NetHack, with your @ fighting little &s with your friend d trying to find the next > so you can grab the " while waiting for the next #enhance, and you can tolerate just about any graphic style.

 

I love this game. It's great in more ways than I can describe. It's satisfying my need for rogue likes well. I still pine for a zangband one day but this rocks. I almost had a heart attack earlier today thanks to this app. I saw Warwick Allison and knew I had seen the name before. Then a certain tiled version of a certain popular game slapped me in the face.

 

The high scores page activates after buying your first pair of characters.
