    Whoa

    Hambo was sent a code.

Only challenge up right now is "Beat first boss as Spellsword". Once someone clears that, Miroa will get a code and I'll post 3 more challenges.

Fantastic. Thanks for following this so closely, Kepa. I cant imagine how busy you are right before release. The game was definitely worth the wait. I do have one question, I launched the game and went through the tutorial earlier at work (yeah i was that excited). Once I got home though the early adopter hats didnt unlock on my ipad. Is there a way to get them to do so, or are they just going to be on my phone only? Doesnt matter, was just curious.

This whole time, I thought I was an MLG Pro gamer, but I was wrong.

    LousyHero, holy guacamole.

It took me at LEAST 12.

Are you forged with it? Or did you just buy your MLG Gaming Mode from the local $2 shop?

Men are haunted by the vastness of eternity.
    And so we ask ourselves,
Will our actions echo across the centuries?
Will strangers hear our names long after we're gone and wonder who we were, how bravely we fought, how fiercely we loved?

The mine was stifling, so unlike the houses top side, it had a life all its own. The creaking as tons of dirt shifted against the support columns was deafening, but hid my foot steps well. Slinking from room to room many met my daggers, i danced through them all a small smile on my lips. They were legion, but i had my tricks and they could not compete.

Had I stopped to think, I would have had to wonder at the sheer amount of foes I had to cut my way through. Dogs, golems, miners, strange cat people all tried to stand in my way. They fell one by one with my daggers in their back. Was the gold, the glory, the thrill, worth the slaughter? The effort....? No doubt about it, I'm a rogue, its what I live for.

The place had a certain beauty, mines gave way to lush underground fauna fed by wide deep lakes. It was another world, and it was exhilarating to see. Flames dripped from hanging braziers, glowing mushrooms lit my path, skulls with bright glaring eyes gazed menacingly. These were my lights, my guides in the darkness, my salvation. You need light to make shadows after all, and shadows are where I thrive.

Eventually I came to more well built areas, I saw ghosts haunting this place, lamenting their end. It was was a strange feeling, I had no effect on these creatures, but their stories haunted me. Just past these sad creatures was a well furnished hall, with columns , and carpeting. This worried me more than the ghosts, and the man/thing at the end worried me more than everything else I had seen.

He was as big as the golems, with strange garb and a stranger manner. Cordial yet menacing, and carrying a hammer about the same size I am. I rushed him as soon as is lips stopped flapping, quaffing a potion to speed me up, and one to make me even more a part of the shadows. His eyes widened but saw nothing, and I laid into his back before he knew it. My daggers flashed, hitting vitals with every strike, and he was not long for this world. I guess it's true the bigger they are the harder they fall, he should have turned around.

I felt confident, elated, ready for anything. I would be rich, my name would echo across the ages. I came to a room filled with beds, gold and chests littered the floor, my eyes gleamed and my breathe quickened. I rushed into the room, and heard the doors snap shut behind me, and I noticed the ten miners getting out of bed. I dropped a bomb stunning those around me, and my daggers and I went to work again. I fought better than I had in all my life, I kicked and stabbed I pulled every dirty trick I knew. I finished the eighth miner off with a mad laugh, and turned for the last two, the one I saw looked terrified. The one I didnt see buried his pickaxe into my back, my thoughts of glory and riches, flowed away with my life blood. I should have turned around....

Welcome to Wayward Souls. Your glory walks hand in hand with your doom.

The previous story was my attempt at a different kind of review. Everyone has already heard how great the game is, and that is absolutely true. It has all of the qualifications of an amazing roguelike. Insane replay value, permadeath, random levels, loot. To me though one of the most important things it manages to capture is the story you make for yourself. Every run has something different, something completely new to draw you into this world that rocketcat has created, and to me that is the most important thing of all.

In summary yes its worth the wait, it surpasses the hype, and come release day everyone is in for one hell of a treat.

LousyHero, that was just beautiful. Really sums up our feelings as gamers but that some of us are hesitant to express to "regular" people.
I'd buy the game full price just based on that review.
