And it stalls on challenger 2, you know being the seventh challenger makes me want the first 6 to succeed very badly. On the other hand though, this bodes so well for the difficulty that i am some how even more excited for the game. So very conflicted right now.
Grinding gets faster as you unlock the new areas. Not that it'll save you. The permanent upgrades tend to be pretty slight, so growing in actual player skill is way more important. I'm guessing people will figure out good strategies for each area, and start sharing them with each other. If we get through "beat the first boss as the three main characters", I'll open up the challenges more. I'll put up a QUEST BOARD or something and anyone with a code can try to knock off a challenge. BTW having the moderators add coolpepper's plea for mercy as the official forum review of the game. It's total first post material.
Love the quest idea, that sounds like it will compliment the challenge brilliantly. I also love the fact that the social repercussions on this forum turns a difficult game into a nightmare. With one fell swoop this game has become a social experiment in accountability.
Off with his head! But seriously dude, it's fine. You've showed some pretty insane dedication. Ok NEG, you better start playing the adventurer
Omg my day keeps getting worse. Take a look at the comment section from the podcast you did Kepa. Please do not try to make me more shamed.
do you think 5$ would work. Like i know a lot of people will be complaining about the price and stuff because they think it's just an phone game not a real game? Like right now wouldn't it be better to get 1 million copies sold for 99¢ Instead of maybe 100 thousand copies sold for 5$
$5 is really good price for this game. I have been playing it for over 10 hours and i am still seeing new things that completely surprise me and I haven't even beaten the first part with one character. Each character is almost like playing a different game. At 5 bucks it's a steal.
I never look at comment sections for stuff I do. Or the App Store reviews. Though I did post something to twitter shaming you. No that's a horrible idea, that's not how pricing works at all. I'm not selling loaves of bread or Tiny Wings, I'm selling a niche, super difficult game.
A higher price also sets it apart since it shows that it isn't a game you'd want to purchase lightly and then not play. It's an investment, in both time and money.
A few reasons: 1. It's worth 10 dollars 2. Kepa is a big advocate for premium priced games, which is not the same as paid if you ask me 3. It is literally going to be identical to the PC version, just on your phone. So it would be ridiculous not to price it similarly 4. After the 3rd content update, the price is going up to $8 because it will be feature complete, so the $5 is like an early adopter's price. Edit: It will soon go up to $6 5. It's gonna make dat cash munnee no matta what, bc them niche gamas will pay dem high prices
Oh I should mention I'm raising the price of it to $6 ASAP. And $7 not too long after that. At some point, $8 or $9. I note minimalist games are doing well at $4 now sometimes, and my game is not a minimalist game.
