He already told us on an earlier post, Kepa just needs to find the time to do so. I want iPod 5 resolution too pretty bad, but I guess Wayward is coming out next week anyway WITH iPod 5 resolution.
Hey Kepa one more question thanks, is Wayward Souls a campaign based game only or can you finish the campaign and go in an infinite dungeon-maze adventure? In other words, does the game completely end after you finish the storyline?
If you go and spend some time with Mage Gauntlet you'd get a good idea of what to expect when the game ends. Actually they may have already stated it in this thread. Mage Gauntlet features a new game + option to people that wanted to keep on going. I believe this will feature the same. Really, just go get Mage Gauntlet. It's a couple of dollars and well worth it. While you're at it, get the whole hook series. Hook Champ, QuickHook, HookWorlds.
Yeah thanks for the advice, but I didn't quite like any of the 'Hook' games. I'm still on a very small margin - whether to step forward and buy the game or step backwards and not buy the game (due to no iPod 5 resolution). I've been stuck there for days so I dunno to buy or not.
You should, Mage gauntlet ROCKS and I would say it's highly forgivable that there will be bars on the side, you could have spent the past fews days enjoying it instead of mulling it over!
Agree, it was one of the first games that I got on my iPod 4 on 2011 and it was really amazing, but I just can't wait for Wayward to come out, it's going to be really EPIC!
Some parts of the Castle are on a balcony, there's a Cliffside area, and the tutorial is outside in the rain. That and some rare areas. Not a lot of outdoor parts in the game, and we still have difficulty doing them just right. Right now it ends when you finish the story, but don't forget it's all randomly generated (different levels each time), with 6 characters, all with different endings and playstyles and special encounters. So replay value is incredibly high as is. That said, Endless Mode is going to be the big content addition in Update 2. You can always wait to buy Mage Gauntlet. It's not going anywhere, and Wayward Souls is pretty close. Don't want to misrepresent, it can still be awhile before Mage Gauntlet gets widescreen support.
Didn't you mention at some point, it could have been a year ago that you will briefly make Mage gauntlet free to promote your new game. Is that still happening or did I just imagine the whole thing?
Oh yeah, it was a year ago. We decided not to since then, especially since it's *still selling* somehow and I want to encourage higher price points. Sales and especially free deals seem counter to that philosophy. I don't think Mage Gauntlet will ever go free, unless it's a Starbucks Free Game or something.
That's good to know. Thanks. Also how does the Starbucks thing work? Do they pay you in some way for making it free? I always wondered how that worked.
Looks like it's too late! If you intended to use reverse psychology then it worked because I went mental and bought the game. As for the big endless mode in Wayward Souls, MIND.BLOWN.
Yes. You guys make great games, that really are worth more than you charge for them. I get the whole selling 10 copies at $3 rather than 2 at $5. The AppStore is a strange place. I'm glad you sell games at a consistent price and don't cave in to the pressure that a lot of developers do, to do all the sales and freebies. As always, I'm in for a day one purchase of any game you make. Really looking forward to this and Death Road to Canada though.
isn't all you have to do is stretch mage gauntlet out or put something on the black borders? they really make me sad seeing blackness on my screen wasted space
I think most people would want an actual expanded view. Mostly the problem is finding any spare time at all, though.
At this point, he should wait until the 2 iPhone 6 sizes come out and then make it work for those too
