Will look into that bug. We'll be doing some tweaks to Adventurer in update 2, I think. The lantern is supposed to root you in place for a little bit, too, it doesn't now due to a bug. When it does, I think we can make it a lot stronger, like it was originally. Floor in pause screen is coming. First update is taking awhile, will announce when it's submitted though. You can bait the Baron's normal swings. Also generally you can avoid his charges, though I think we need to add some sort of indicator to make it easy to identify his triple charge. I like to keep the guards alive, and just use them to block the Baron's charges. Mage Gauntlet had too many bosses I think heh. The abilities were a pretty fine balancing act. Like Adventurer used to OBLITERATE the levels if he had full lantern ammo. We'll look at balance for some abilities, but overall I'm shooting for "useful but not mandatory". Warrior charges do extra damage. Like on the invisible gold enemies, the Warrior charge can instantly kill them. I usually use the power attacks of the melee characters for hit and run tactics. For the spellsword, I generally don't use his charge except in specific situations. Otherwise I also think the dash is a better choice. No IAP ever. We're pretty happy with the game's sales so far. Looks like it'll eventually surpass Mage Gauntlet on iOS like 3-4 times over. Mage is really divisive. Some people love her, some hate her. I think that's mostly a good sign. I feel the character is pretty balanced, except I may look at her wind gust attack later and also the energy cost of her staves.
finally i've maxed out all characters passive skills still miss a couple of achievements 'the thesher' for cultist -i got used to quickly finish enemies,is on my reflex^^ and cultist is a natural born killer, can clear a room in seconds .. maybe thats why can't get that achievement): and the hat ach. have +122hats and still didnt got it -and can't seem to find not even a hat anymore in the silver and golden dungeon i'll take a break 'till the update arrives
Found a room that I can't enter. When I went into the area a scene played with someone asking if anyone was there. And then saying guess not. Anyway, anyone have any ideas for this map?
Game Impressions Hi, just wanted to chime in with a specific issue re: the 3rd stage boss, in case it hasn't been brought up yet. I cleared him by saving 3 of the hourglasses and just sat there auto-attacking him to death while he couldn't do anything. It was... pretty underwhelming, especially given how much of a challenge the first two bosses were. I'd kind of like for that specific dynamic to be changed in the next patch. Otherwise, looking forward to Warrior retuning (skipping weapons sucks) and rogue buffs! Congrats on a great game; it's probably in my top 10 iOS games of all time. I had a feeling with that fancy lantern pose you meant for it to root the adventurer to the floor, making him MORE useless. Look forward to the update. I need more practice I guess to get into his rhythm. Tough to get that in after all the dungeon crawling though. Madness and malarkey! You can never have too many!
That was Mage Gauntlet's protagonist making a cameo appearance. I assume you aren't supposed to be able to actually meet her directly as that would conflict with Mage Gauntlet's story (which is happening at the same time as this game's).
Yeah that scene was awesome. She heard you through the walls than said "must be the stone settling" and she dissapears. It was pretty epic, hehe. Great cameo, your not suppose to be able to enter that room.

Missed out on another skull chest! Got killed fighting the last enemy. Still working on the catacombs. Boy those boys just inch away at my health until there's nothing left. Is there going to be a bigger heads up done to these mines in the update? I know lots have complained. Haven't heads if something is going to be some about them. i have around 22 hours of play time -is not much comparing to other jrpgs/arpgs i played and finished. my record is +70h on shin megami tensei. i always complete 100% of the game and side quests
One more question, why tell us "Gives 1 more damage" or "Gives 2 more HP" when damage and HP are completely opaque to the player in terms of numbers? I mean, I guess it's a fine choice as far as cleaning the UI and still managing the small incremental stat-boosts to balance the game but still...
Which one? That seems on the low side for 100%. Also, legit question, have you ever died to any of the bosses?
