ppl asked to see more hat ss... whats to show off? if exploring 100% of all floors and gettin all the hats from the skull chests you find involves just luck then i'm lucky ...it was a bad idea posting screenshots probally i'll resume to reading 'cos i dont share what i find to argue without reasons...
What... what is this? I've never seen this type of floor before, or this type of slime. Not to mention that every single one of these enemies is from a different theme... Wait, is this what the fourth dungeon is like?
I've seen some enemy mixing before (actually drudges were basically designed with enemy mixing in mind) and that looks like a Temple of Blorpx tile floor (or at least that's what the slime is from, that floor looks crazy). Probably the worst room you can find, I guess Kepa wasn't kidding pre launch when he said they were rare.
It does look like the Blorpx floor, but that doesn't explain why it's floating in midair, or what it's doing on the last level of the Fallen Kingdom. I've seen Blorpx-themed rooms in the second dungeon, containing Primal Slimes, but the slime here was one of the fast chevron-shaped ones from Mage Gauntlet which I haven't seen anywhere else. There was also some kind of blue skeleton that I don't recall seeing elsewhere.
Ahh, aren't glitches great! That definitely is the most interesting one I've seen thus far. Blue skeleton, blue skeleton... like the ones in the zombie (and undergarden drudge) levels or something else? I'm trying to think if I've ever seen something like that personally and I'm somewhat drawing a blank.
It was like the skeletons in the crypt, but blue. I'm not sure if it did anything special, since I killed it immediately (you can see its bones next to the ghost boar). I also took a picture of the entrance of the room.
Does anyone have hints regarding finding secret rooms? Are they mostly in the second dungeon? Should I try to bust every potential secret door I see? Please assist, thanks! Rob
This is a great game, I just want to chime in with an appeal to do something about the 'swiping' on a full sized ipad. I don't... understand... Why the dev despises onscreen buttons so much - what exactly is wrong with them? Having resizable, adjustable transparency, movable buttons is the best way to fit everyone's needs for how they hold their device, the size of their hands, etc.
I can't agree more. I like this game but I hate the control system, I mean I have often to swipe up or down two or three times in a row in order to make a single action with my iPad, resulting in a waste of time and, almost always, a hit by an enemy. Can't the developers just make an option that allows you to choose a system with virtual buttons, instead of these annoying swipe up, swipe down and hold? It's kind a game-breaker for me, and I'm disappointed because, as I said above, I really like this game
Curious if there is a reliable way to predict the d3 stealth dudes' (temerators?) appearance prior to the split-second sound cue? Almost there, but my biggest problem using Spellsword is judging whether or not to power strike & stun upon entering the room.
Im having a hard time in my Warrior playtrough and they are going to nerf it ? why nerfs in a singleplayer ? should spice up the weak ones, I wanted to play the mage since the warrior is pretty boring but she is too weak. yeah, this update should not pass to my phone yet. And for the people that wants to put their own music while playing, there is a trick, just keep swiping up the bottom of the screen and the ios7 menu will show up, there you can resume anything you had playing before getting into the game. The piano music is nice and beautiful, but sometimes you need something more epic.
The way I read the notes, it is a nice mix of both. Basic attack and ammo nerf seem to contrast nicely with the reduced energy costs for advanced weaponry attacks, which will probably greatly strengthen the warrior in the late game. Kepa, any word on true auto-rotation? (Repost-y: I always play in reverse rotation, as to avoid headphones blocking my grip, and currently, iOS notifications probably account for more than half of my HP loss during any run (OS notifications interfere with the stick, since they pop up at the bottom of the screen and interrupt movement).)
A few pages back Kepa posted that auto-rotation is coming in the next update. Edit: Here's the post: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3219900#post3219900
lol didn't even notice there was a sound when they popped up. I play with the volume pretty low or when recording videos, the audio is delayed so I rely more on the visuals. Just stop what you're doing when they spawn and move away at an angle or at least perpendicular to their spawn point. If you're crazy good with timing, you can smack em in the face as they charge at you and that also prevents taking damage. Spellsword dash in, it depends on the mobs. Some jump at you at the same time you charge at them so you'll take damage. Let them jump at you first and then make your move. Against orcs and guards, you can dash in straight away. I play it more like a rogue though so I minimize charges and just dash around when needed.
I do a horizontal reverse fist pump and shout yes! My wife says omg what. What happened? Just got a new hat And she rolls her eyes
That blue guy is a boar skeleton/ghost. Edit: Oops, misunderstood. You already knew that. The blue skeleton's probably one of the rarer/harder enemy palette swaps that will be more common in the 4th dungeon. I just saw a black lifter in the mines yesterday that took many more hits to kill than a regular lifter. Awesome screenshot, wonder if that is like a preview of the 4th dungeon... I just got the glitch where Amaranth is replaced with a set of stairs for the first time yesterday, might be a while before I can even hope to see that place. Also, I am experiencing my first severe hat drought. No hats for at least 2 days. It sucks and I now understand the pain of the RNG hat curse. Spare me, hat gods!
Good tips. I basically follow the same style with spellsword, who is my main character. For the stealth guys, I'm typically on guard whenever I enter a room in d3. Once they appear, I dash away. Once they're done zipping toward you, walk back to them, slash, walk a few more steps, and slash again to kill them. I always try to get that second hit in to get them out of the way, unless I have other baddies shooting at me. Then just dash out of danger and regroup. So for this reason I hold back on the charges for d3... which is the opposite of what I did for the first two dungeons. Also since spellsword has no inventory for up/ down swipes, he's always getting spells. Feel free to use them whenever. I used to needlessly hoard them when I first started.
I definitely don't think the warrior needs a nerf, I can't seem to get to far in the third dungeon with him. I shall keep trying, I'm determined. But, his 9 shields really aren't that "cheap" as people say. A few hits and I'm empty.
