Let's talk about the medals. The FAQ/guide someone I'd maintaining doesn't have all the deets yet for this too btw.

1-3: These are just for completing the three dungeons.

    4. Does anyone have any idea what specifically this one is for? (The upgrades?)

    5. This is just for doing the like 3 achievements for the class.

    6. What is this??? How do you get this one, or what does it represent?

I am itching to get number 6 for completion but have no clue. It's not for buying all the stuff (I have a couple maxed out classes none with medal 6). So what gives?

#4 is for buying all the upgrades. #6 is for beating the upcoming 4th dungeon.

How do you guys do against the slimes with rougue, I always die when I find one, there's no way to hit them without taking damage.

I Run in kick charged. I deal wjth the horned ones first. Three stabs then move and repeat to miss their charge. The big guys I just would jam them last.

Pure damage buff: No. Longer invuln time after being hit: Probably not, he's already super tanky. Energy recovery on enemy kill: Maybe. Could be really overpowered on large crowds of weak enemies, though. Unless we made this really weak. Throwing an axe gives a critical bonus: Maybe... I think a lot of people would complain about it though unless we made it 100%.

So far the best one seems to be "if hit, your next attack will do up to 50% more damage". Still a nice effect, but not too overpowered.

We actually tried out the first suggestion, but it didn't lead to interesting choices. It just made people hoard items more.

Yeah I'll have to look into some of the upgrades. Will probably change things a bit throughout the updates, especially in the big update that coincides with the PC version.

Paladin was going to get a completely personalized dungeon. The others most likely won't get completely new areas for each one.

Weird, I thought the game no longer ran on a 3rd gen iPod Touch. Will have to try that out. I know we stopped supporting it at some point in development.

The thing with the mage earth staff is that it has no target limit. Interesting for some circumstances. Adventurer dash is a downswipe due to its defensive nature, with the other dash being more defensive. Adventurer can flash the lantern pretty fast, not sure if I should change this. Rogue upgrades need to be looked into, I think.

I think the Obliterate sword does not actually work on bosses. It may have a more minor effect though, I can't remember.

    Loving the screenshots and videos.

Ok this is probably my third time asking this, but what is the monster shopkeeper going to sell?

I'm fairly certain you can't skip Amaranth (well, If he spawns properly) or the third boss, since both of them close the doors before you get a chance to move. It's really easy to leave Humphrey's room, though, as long as you have a dash move (and it's probably possible even if you don't). You can lead him anywhere you want in the level, or you can just walk down the stairs without fighting him.

    Behind you
Yeah just look for opportunities when he misses and hit two-three times, when/if you get trapped in a corner, the dash upgrade helps

Amaranth is probably the easiest boss of all, i'm not sure which specific tips to give you, but if you go in with full health you can probably just hack away at him and kill him before he kills you (the run and gun method).

His long lunges are easy to avoid no matter who you are playing with, attack 2-3 times after he swings, then move around, repeat.

Welp, that was an awesome run that went sour fast. That was quite the step up, from floor 7 to floor 8.

Do swipe attack upgrades that give increased critical chance affect only the swipe attack, or regular attacks too?

And how much damage do regular attacks do? Would be great to know how much those permanent upgrades help, like rogue's charge kick upgrade. How much is +5 in comparison to her knife stab? How much does the kick do with +0?

How strong are everyone's normal and charged attacks?

Do critical hits do double damage? Seems like it.

And on that note, I might as well ask how much health everyone has?

Thanks again for the response Kepa!!

Lol it seems we are on similar wavelengths as far as design goes, Its honestly one of my favorite things to do. :p. (I have like 6-8 games worth of ideas layin around my room, but im worthless when it comes to implementation)

Really looking forward to these updates!
Have you thought of adding a few nifty things in a small update for mage gauntlet, along the lines of wayward souls cameo/reference things? I'd love like a few outfits or hats, trinkets, weapons, etc. as just random drops from master mode enemies.

    Anywho, Good Luck on update-work!!

I mopped him up with the other four characters. Just a pain to even get to him with the adventurer. He's lacking the tank or run defence. Has to stand and bang without the shield. Definately will try dash

I've been skipping over the monster shopkeeper questions because I think I answered a couple times already. They'll most likely sell: A single extra life per playthrough. Various good one use items, at random, including health potions. Maybe ammo packs. Maybe hats (unless you get all the hats). It's a long ways off, but that was the original idea.

Haha. Should we even fix this? It's pretty amusing.

Mage Gauntlet probably isn't going to get any content updates, at this point. We're thinking of adding widescreen support eventually. Otherwise it's just way easier to update Wayward Souls, instead.

Notice the picture of each new upgrade has "II" in the bottom-right corner.
This happens when you're choosing an upgrade for a thing you already got upgraded in that run. And I think it always includes version 2 of the upgrade you chose before...?

I agree, leave it, and make it an achievement so it's clearly being left intentionally. :p
