Quite a number of people have finished the game with other characters, if not all of them. Here's my Spellsword against the gold boss:
Used a girl character (rogue and mage) and i both got a girly hat from them. Is it true or just a co-incident?
First boss: warrior, rogue, adventurer and spell sword 2nd boss: same as above, finished the rogue and spell master yesterday with at least 10 hats to loot and early this morning the adventurer, but i cheated my way with the adventurer (used the cheat stair that appeared) what about the potion bug? i don't know if its just me or that's how it supposed to work but i maxed out the potion skill with the warrior and i heal randomly, instead of +5 health i also get the +1 heal also.
That's sweet looking! Person above; your very lucky. That was a well spawned dungeon, 4 hats in one run. Crazy stuff yo! I wish.
Has anyone found a guaranteed hat chest area (whether it be a maze or a mini boss or whatever) before they beat that dungeon with at least one character? When I was running through Amaranth Keep with my warrior, I did not find a single one; with my Mage (with whom I have done way less attempts at Amaranth Keep) I have found 2. Same story with the Cursed Hollows, though I had very few attempts at it before beating it. I haven't beaten the Fallen Kingdom with anyone, but I haven't really tried or gotten far enough in it that I would even know if a hat chest had spawned.
I was just playing with the Mage and I got to an area with no way out? There was a Treasure chest and another crate with a spell in it that I couldn't hit cuz a dead bad guy was there(I don't think that mattered though) all across a gap. It was right at the beginning of the the level in he Mines 4th floor. Anyways I don't get people saying the Rogue is weak or underpowered? She's the only character I've gotten to the last dungeon with. I guess her biggest plus is always getting items.( though not some of the cooler class specific ones) Although that's not even my Favorite thing about her is her up swipe dash into backstab usssualy with poison dagger or crit bonus... I can get into a rhythm around most bad guys dashing back and forth stabbing them to death... If its a group usually charge kick to knock them apart then dash around etc.. I guess she may be the hardest charcater to use but played right she can dodge and hit and run without getting hit. The sword guys don't have that kind of maneuverability and generally have to hack away often leading to a point where they have to block or make a difficult escape if they don't kill what there's hitting. I guess it all comes down to choosing speed vs. strength in which case I always pick speed. For instance I generally like the fastest characters in fighting games as an example.. And yes I do intend to beat the Final boss with the Rogue( if I can ever get there) which someone commented wouldn't be possible? Unless its something drastically different from the pervious bosses in which dashing around him hitting and dodging wouldnt be possible then maybe so( like fighting a giant wall or something) otherwise I don't see why.. Yes to play the rogue you have to put yourself at risk as opposed to the Mage where you can play it safe and hopefully I can get a video up when or if I do beat the Final Boss. I didn't realize people thought she sucked etc.. In that case ill show you how to use her hopefully..
Beating the final boss with the Rogue isn't a problem at all. In fact, when I did it I had just the right combination of items that the fight literally took 5 seconds and I never got hit. The main problem is getting to the boss, since there are a couple enemy types in that dungeon that are very difficult for the Rogue to deal with, particularly Temerators (the robed enemies with a lot of health who can revive others). I will say that the main reason it took me so long to beat it with the Rouge is that I wasn't using items often enough. With all the other classes I could (and did) get away with not using items at all except in a major emergency, or to clear up space to pick up a potion or something. That doesn't work very well with the Rogue.
here is my top for: strongest character 1. warrior 2/3/4/5. adventure, cultist, rogue, mage -they all deserve 2nd place 6. spellsword most fun2play character 1/2. rogue, cultist -both are v fun 3/4/5. mage/adventure/warrior 6. spellsword most annoyng enemies: -1stdungeon the little green that shots from long range and walks under earth -2nd dungeon the dogs -3rd dungeon the flying magus that shots from long range is just my personal opinion ):
Ya... I will agree a giant horde with reviving mages is a pain, probly requires an item use or two or three and alot of charged kick pull backs mixed in with some zipping around etc.. Good to know the final boss is possible, I was worried it would be some stainonary type Wall monster with multible heads sticking out ( in which case her dash would be useless, though that does sound like a cool boss probly thinking of something from secret of mana or its sequel.) I guess I'd be okay with some better upgrade, like more frequent poison or better confusion( whatever the heck that is.) Edit* oh god ^ I hate those stupid dogs they have a habit of messing me up... Grrr
they are quite smart -the fact that they move so much in a smart haotic way makes them annoyng to catch ): but they can't kill you
Green slimes are annoying to me because in numbers, they have a weird hit box that lets them hit you easily between swipes. Must be my short attack range or something. The giant knights that throw the chain balls are a pain because they have so much reach and if you accidentally stand in front of them you'll never have a enough time to get away. Lastly, I hate the most are those things the pop in and out of the ground and shoot the balls then run away. When they pop, I get hit, and once they're done attacking, they flee immediately.
