I just unlocked the third level. Holy crap. Huge step up from the tower. I won't be playing with the cultist for a long long time... Also, do the power ups that an adventurer finds change when he picks up different lanterns? I got the shadow lamp, then found a shadow clone power up, which I haven't seen before.
Every character will have some type of story told throughout the game. Ready for some SPOILERS? I haven't finished the game, but so far I've seen the Mage trying to learn about her grandfather in the tower, the warrior hunting a necromancer that may have dug up his brother, the rogue searching for treasure and running into her old partner and worst enemy, the spellsword looking for rare scrolls as a rite of passage and somehow surviving when the bodyguards of the treasure hunter he was with were all killed mysteriously, and the adventurer drawn by the magical eye that keeps appearing in his dreams, and a mysterious figure that kinda eggs him on. These might not be real spoilers, but it's the story elements I've uncovered so far.
more updates to the FAQ, more hats and some tweaks: http://grfxpstore.com/waywardsouls what else am I missing?
Anyone know what happened with the missing hats? Did RocketCat came forward with that? I didn't get any....
Oh him. Looks pretty dead to me. I'm stuck with the second boss though. Never made to him with enough hp to observe his pattern.
That's about the same as what I've gathered so far. I'm trying to beat the Mage gauntlet to figure out what's going on. Btw I did see Lexi somewhere. It's a random encounter I suppose.
Regarding the items : I would separate "General" items and "class specific" items. IE : Vitae Tonic, Aged Hourglass and Time Dust are available to everyone. Shadowtwist Elixir/Blade Venom are only available for some classes (Adventurer, Rogue)
I'm one of the devs of Leo's Fortune. Just wanted to say that Wayward Souls is an awesome game and that it brings me back to the days of Legend of Mana. Congrats on the success!
I don't think the game needs more praise but I still want to say that the excitement and fulfillment I get playing this game is unparalleled by any other ios game I have played so far. Every run there is something new which surprises me in a good way. Thank you Rocketcat for bring another polished game. I started as Rogue and it was not after 20ish runs before I finally killed Humphrey. Since then it has been smooth with other classes. Got him with warrior on 2nd run, mage on 3rd, and adventurer also on 2nd. Haven't tried the tower yet but will do soon. I guess the Rogue does require more skill than the other due to her weak damage power and range and therefore more chances to mess up. I especially like the part that every character has his/her own storyline which is awesome. I do have a question though. Are the rare encounters with Lexi and Jepp Starcloak specific to some character or they are just a one-time thing? Because so far I have only met Lexi once with the Rogue and Jepp once with the mage.
I haven't met Jepp, but I encountered Lexi with a couple classes, so I don't think those kinds of events are based on the character you use.
I found Jepp with several characters. I have no idea if I found him more than once with the same one.
