What do you mean bronze and silver? I didnt see any difficulty options or anything unless bronze and silver mean something else?
I'd like to add this for Humphrey: When he does his high-jump attack, I run diagonally until he enters the screen. Then I instantly run the slightest bit vertically, to dodge the shockwaves. Seems to work consistently well, as the shockwaves come off him in 8 directions.
Still got owned by him... Certainly didn't have time to do '3 or 4' attacks with my bade between his attacks. Usually I just run around like a chicken with my head cut off, taking swipes when I can. I did last longer than normal this time... But he still refused to die
I i have besten the second dungeon with warrior and struggling with third, but its only time till i kill it. Regardig balance: i think the archetype each character plays is fine, really diff play experience with each char. My only suggestion is thet at least for warrior and mage, for the most part the weapon upgrades are terrible (for primary weapon). Im always hoping my other stuff gets upgraded rather than my main weapon because in every case i think the original weapon has several sdvantages over most replacements (most, not all, mage for rxample has the one staff that is just like the beginning weapon but higher crit chance, so its obviously better). For mage especially, i feel that if unwant to decrease the range of the staff, there better be a huge dmg or some other special ability increase, and i dont feel that is the case. Especially with range being mages best asset, to nerf it with many upgrades and not have an extremely noticeable beneficial tradeoff generally makes me not want weapon upgrades. I know solomons boneyard was a strong influence on this upgrade system. What i feel is lacking in wayward souls is the frequent upgrades that created an inmediate impact as occurred in boneyard. I realize the upgrades are spaced out every other level for challenge reasons, but the constant thrill of building a strong unique character each run is kinda lacking in wayward, whereas in boneyard unless u were lucky u had a fairly different build every time. So to summarize, all character archetypes are fine, just try to buff the loot/progression system a tad so that the upgrades are always desireable. (This critique may not apply to other classes as well as warrior/mage. I do feel it affects mage most due to frequent reductions in range.) Thanks for the great game!
I've got some footage of the footwork for dodging that. Fight starts at 9:30 And to those asking for a Cultist video, I'm still kind of busy so you'll have to wait.
Oh god. The Gold dungeon seems to be ten times harder than the silver dungeon .. to the point that the bronze dungeon scares me less than a little kitten mewing for milk.
the rooms are full with nights and dogs and then a mini-boss fight, 3big nights to fight in that small room, after you clear all the rooms you can open the chest and the three treasures
Finallyyyyy Humphrey is gone, my screenshot won't post so you'll just have to believe me lol. Thanks for the vid echoen, it's helped a lot see how he moves as I usually died before getting the chance to suss him out.
the hat from the chest is the one you can see in the last screenshot the hat on my character is the 'bull hat' makes you look like the big slime
