I've gotten like, 5 hats since the game's been released, some cool (an Antoine mask, one of the antagonists for the...rogue i wanna say), and some not so much (a texas chainsaw massacre style cloth sack). I wish the hat chests spawned more often though, or there was a way to see a collection type menu. The blindfold sounds neat, go all Zatoichi on their....well...ima go with butts this time. So WWIII doesn't erupt lmao.
iPad or iPhone ? What do ost people prefer? I'm playing on iPad Air and having a hard time getting past first boss on 5th floor. Been playing since launch each day probably an hour a day.
Here's a question. So it's a rogue like, now when you die you start over. Why is it that I get new story bits each time. I figure you wouldn't get those until you get further then you did before. Where are there checkpoints?
The random bits of backstory are uniquely original to this particular roguelike. There're certain scenes you'll see once with each character, but i've gotten random "ghost" scenes on each play-through. The disjointed narrative os supposed to encourage players to keep playing more and more, in order to get the complete backstory. It's a neat way to keep replayabiloty high if you cate about the story. No checkpoints though, in the classic sense of the mechanism.

Now I encountered the glitch of no boss in the second area with the adventurer. And I didn't see the red "to next floor" arrows, I just went through a hall and suddenly I went down the stairs... Unfortunately I decided to try closing the app, which just skipped the adventurer's scene at the end of the level, so now I have to wait for the update adding the ability to see scenes again to see it... So, there went my progress, sort of, since now I need to go clear the level again so I actually fight the boss (the third area is available, like with the rogue earlier, but I didn't really earn it because of no boss...) Does the upcoming update fix this no-boss glitch and add the story scenes option? And I just thought of something. You're making it remember the hat that was equipped? What about doing that for each character seperately?
Thanks to rocketcat for such an awesome game. The work you put into it is clear and I'm glad to see it rewarded with great charting. This may have already been brought up, but am I the only person who would prefer the hat color match toggle in the hat menu? It seems like a lot of back and forth through various menus to see how they look with different colors as it currently is.
So I finally beat the first boss friday & just now tried the adventurer. He's pretty boss, seems to be as efficient as the warrior ( health / damage wise )but I love the adventurer's skills. I haven't played the warrior to much, the Mage is more my style but I'm really feeling the adventurer.
Decided to try the second dungeon on the cultist, and damn she is a crazy boss killer. I got some great drops for her and saved them up for the boss. 3 shadow stones and a shadow potion, he had 6 shadows attacking him and an invisible cultist backstabbing him. Boss died without ever summoning any minions, definitely my quickest kill on him.
That's similar to how I did it. I somehow ended up with 4 Ebonshards, so he had 8 shadows attacking him at once. Somehow he survived my shadow army (I think he teleported away briefly), so I finished him off with a throwing dagger to the head. Not quite my fastest kill, but probably the most stylish.
Are there plans to add cross-device saving at any point? I totally understand if not, the game is already fantastic - just wondering.
Great start to the FAQ! Thanks for making this, and to all those responsible for helping with it. I still haven't beat the first boss. Probably fought him 8 or 9 times now. Still having fun trying though ####
The faq is looking good. I believe there is an error though. I think the middle right emblem (the purple star) is for completing all achievements for that character. I have the emblem and have t upgraded the warrior fully.
It took me 10 tries to finally beat the boss, and now... I never die on him. Have beaten him twice on the warrior and twice on the Mage so far since first killing him. Once you learn his movements it's no so hard. Also, once you learn the timing you really take him down fast. Let him move in your direction, than quickly move around him and swipe / hit 3-4 times. Rinse & repeat. When he jumps, that's a pain. You need to stay out of his 8 way hit range, I get all nervous and get hit usually. With the Mage it's nice because I use a haste skill and just hit him from afar. Warriors are nice because I tap my sheild and usually it'll only take away 1-3 shields per stomp hit and that gives me plenty of time to kill him. Got 7 hats so far! Really loving the fact that there's 200. Gives me another incentive to play, always looking for another epic hat, hehe. Just ran into a dungeon floor filled with bats. Must have been 50 or so, was insane. Part 2 is pretty challenging, almost made it to the boss. Got overwhelmed with projectiles.
i start playing the mage just yesterday and two things happend: 1. i always try to alert enemies so they will come out the room so i can killem one by one and while doing that the door closed and i was left outside the room and the only option left was to quit the level. i didnt maked a screenshot. is this a bug that can sometimes happen? 2. i used his swipe fire attack and i walked almost two rooms with the fire on, just like you see in the screenshot. edit: i also have a issue with gamecenter achievements not showin, the in game ach shows 14 unlocked and in gamecenter shows only 7 ach. anyone else has this issue? is not a problem but i'm curious if is just my slow 3G data connection or is a game issue
