What part do you always die in? Also if you're struggling here's a easy strategy to use as the warrior. To to get close the the enemy and when they are about to attack use your shield to block and momentarily stun them and counter attack then repeat
For hats, I've been getting a lot of them. I probably have 20ish hats, and I think I've put about 8hrs into the game. Look for chests that have a different look to them. Usually these are in the special sections of the game. These will always yield a hat. For strategy, I agree that divide and conquer is a great strategy. I've been running into trouble with the warrior recently, however. Has anyone else found it impossible to break the shields of the guards in the tower level with the stained glass sword? Also, the slower weapons use up way more energy than the regular sword does (for a power attack), so that's made things much harder when you have a room with 5 shielded guards. Also swipes have hurt me in pretty much every class, just given the precise nature of the game. I hope that's fixed soon.
In floor 4 or five. Or there are a lot of ranged enemies at the same time, or just my HP bar reaches finally 0. The warrior is frustrating. It's slow, you can't maneuver, the shield is limited and the charges need anticipation. The rogue, at least, can get through the enemy wall and play with them a little. About character progression, let me insist, there isn't even for the same run. Like, for example, FTL, (or any rogue-like). During the run, your character progress and it restarts when you die. I don't believe the forge upgrades are any game changers. There is no reason to explore a floor once you've found the exit. The better you could find is 20 coins.
Using the rogue may be your problem, depending on your skill level. The rogue's attacks are fast, but severely underpowered compared to other characters. Also, few of their special items or defense/offense gear actually cause much damage. If your having problems, I strongly suggest using the warrior. He has the most powerful attack and the shield, though limited in stock, is a much more effective and efficient means of defense. He also has the most health out of all of the characters. In the beginning, I personally preferred the Mage since I like ranged attacks. Although it's probably not a good class for you if you're finding things too difficult since her amount of health is ridiculously low. And for those having problems with the swipe controls I've found that a quick, long swipe works every time. Flick like your trying to scroll to the bottom of a very long web page on your iPad. Rocketcat should probably shorten the length of the swipe required since I'm pretty sure this is why people are complaining it "doesn't work".
strange auto zoom on my ipad. hi, i am having troubles with this game on my ipad 1. i got the 5.1.1. installed, thats the latest i can get. its not jailbroken. whenever i start the game, after like 5 seconds of loading it zooms in and i only get to see the bottom left portion of the screen. probably some kind of auto resolution mismatch. i tried deleting the app and re-installing, i tried rebooting. it is playable, as in i can move and swing my sword with no performance issues. i npoticed i can get into some menus by tapping where they are supposed to be even if i cant see them because of the massive zoom-in. so i guess the desync is only on the visuals... so, is there anything i could try to fix this by myself? is this a known issue and i just have to work on an update? or will this never work on my ipad 1? if this doesnt work, its no problem for me, i was just wondering, because whenever i try to buy apps that wont work on my setup anymore it tells me when i want to install them. so basically i am just curious becasue id love to play this game. thank you.
I m in love with the adventurer at the moment. Fast, mix of all classes, good upgrades... What s not to love
Is it possible to beat the gold level "catacombs" with the warrior without any upgrades because I keep dying in the first floor
RNG. Played an hour total, maybe two, and I already have 3 hats. Keep at it is all. Question on the topic: I thought hats were purely cosmetic? So why do people keep mentioning them?
AWESOME!! This is fantastic! I am not the only one with those problems! Rockin' 5.1.1 too, just on my iPad 2.. So the problem must lie in the OS! Just hope RC will iron it out before too long!
Woah, you're getting some crazy maze stuff for your hat chests. The one hat chest I got, in the mines, was a pretty linear tunnel with some bats in it. I'm not complaining, but I do wish I would have gotten to see some of these in my myriad attempts in Amaranth Keep.
Thanks, i'll try it. I see everyone is obsessed with hats, I've got one and i don't know what's its purpose beyond aesthetics.
