Lots of fun so far, but wicked hard. It would be cool to have a "casual mode" added in an update. More frequent checkpoints, health potion drops etc. Also, say you find the exit early, it would be cool if a little red x or something appeared on the map in case we explore more and want to get back to it.
What happens when you upgrade everything but I'm still have left over coins and nothing to spend them on
Great game, loving it so far, only about an hour played. Still, it'd be nice to see a few more stats, like highest floor reached with each character etc...
Love the game so far. Some feedback: - Classes do not seem to be well balanced (for example Warriors the master race) - I am one of the many players who prefer buttons rather than swipe controls. (Play on iPhone 5s) but if an option can be added to the game it would be appreciated by many. - walk speed can be a but slow if you have to go long distances or backtrack. Perhaps add some type of sprint - for end game: add multiplayer co op and pvp arena - add or edit passives for a "thief / bandit" which helps us find more gold. Anyone has some tips? I'm stuck on level 4-5 of mines no matter what i do. I'm just an average gamer so any tips would be appreciated. Really struggling now
I wrote a big spiel about that on this page http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=226260&page=56
Warrior upgrades, I'd prioritize them in this order: 1. Shieldbearer (30% chance to conserve shield charges) 2. Disciplined Breath (+20% energy recovery) 3. Walk It Off (+5 health healed on entering a floor) 4. Ax-cavenger (+20% chance for bonus axe drops) 5. Fenn Ferocity (+5% crit chance) 6. Iron Flesh (+5 max health) 7. Potent Imbiber (+5 health from potions) Shields are free hits for you so unlock and max it out ASAP. 5 health per floor is better than 5 max health. Potions are rare drops so forget about this till everything else is maxed. Rogue upgrades: 1. Sheer Stinginess (-25% energy cost) 2. Low Blow (+30% stun duration) 3. Dagger Toes (+5 kick damage) 4. Keen Survivor (+5 health healed on entering a floor) 5. High Stakes (+10% crit chance) 6. Varoisian Moxie (+5 max health) 7. Fake Out (confuse enemies for 1 second on the first dash through them) You want to be able to spam kicks and dashes so energy cost reduction comes first. Since you'll be spamming kicks, stronger kicks and longer stun duration will buff up your effectiveness by a ton. Like with the warrior, getting more heals per floor is better than max (going up 3 floors = 15 health vs 5 max health). Fake Out supposedly only works on the first dash through an opponent making it very situational so save it for last, especially since a lot of mobs take a couple of hits to take down. Why when I dash through enemies with the rogue nothing happens? They don't seem confused at all. And the shield on the warrior is the best ability of any class. I basically pull the shield up when I'm traveling. I think that's the best tip. I think some people may not realize the shield is a toggle. It stays up for as long as you leave it or until it breaks. It's great for basically anything. I agree on prioritizing its upgrades first.
I've not got many words to say other than "I am really loving this game" I enjoyed mage gauntlet but this just takes that formula and pushes it to the next level. Fantastic.
Practice! Upgrade! And it takes time. Find which character you're best at. Played all 3 first, found I sucked as mage (only can do 1-2 floors). Then I was best at warrior but only could hit floor 3 on my first 4 runs. Keep at it. The more you play the more you memorize patterns. And you can always find some hats along the way.
And you might get lucky and skip 2 floors. Exit portal's right next to the entry portal or the level generation forgets to add the boss (a bug) lol And you might get all short runs or easy battles. Then again, you might get the wurm/bat/dog/zombie room but those are always fun to see. No slime levels.
And also a "Hardcore mode" which is super hard, and no regenerating health between floors Also, it doesn't save between dungeons, meaning you have to start right from the start if you lose. If you beat all three dungeons in hardcore mode, you unlock the "god" class who has infinite health and can obliverate the whole map with one swipe. And also a cool hat
