Thanks for the reply. I was afraid balance might have been the reason for the tabula rasa. I guess I'm coming from a point of the game's so much fun i want to play longer runs lol. Replay story feature would be nifty, love the atmosphere all those events add, and since i switched to the analog joystick, the rogue became a viable character, the mage no longer got hit every 3 seconds, and the game overall became more fun. If making it smaller visually could be a thing, it'd be awesome. Hoping for longer runs in the future, maybe add a floor or two to every area, or make the harder areas longer. I wanna say there's a post with a pic that says the last one has 7 floors. Thanks, and again, congrats on a fantastic product. Edit: lol, and the post above just got added while i composed this one, 9 floors is cool, maybe i just haven't played long enough.
As just mentioned, I want to add my praises for the cutscenes thing. I'm LOVING those...found several one, completely different too. That single thing made the game from a fun one to a spectacular one for me.
The flamethrowers in the Ashen Cult floors are very misleading. It seems like you take damage if you're anywhere in its range as soon as at fires, even before the flames actually reach you.
Game is harder than I thought... First I tried the Rougue and accidentally missed the part about her swiping kick thingy so I died pretty fast. Then I used the Mage and died even faster. Finally I used the uhh sword guy? I did pretty good with him but I don't really like his axe move and while the shield can be usefull there was few times I actually used it.. So I went back to the Rogue upgraded her a bunch and learned how to use her swipe move to dodge and her kick to stun or knock enemies... So The Rougue is my fav.. Haven't unlocked the other characters but I'm enjoying the game.. Still it's pretty tough.
Finally had some time to really sit down and play for a good chunk of time today. Still seeing new things, and if possible enjoying it even more. Beat the second dungeon with the rogue, now on to the gold dungeon, wish me luck.
Right now, definitely iPhone (on 5s and it plays and controls beautifully...and a couple pages back they mentioned controller support!!). Haven't seen how it looks on iPad in comparison though, so....what's everyone's vote, considering the swipe issues will be fixed??
I'm finding the Adventurer's jack-of-all-trades build makes it the most useful overall. Good health plus magic scrolls plus an awesome defensive skill make it really solid and easy to use. Mage is more powerful but when energy runs out it's useless and the low health is really a bummer plus it has a weakness to fast moving enemies (aka bats and that annoying underground rock throwing thing)
Finally. Finally. Finally. After my 8th attempt on the first 5th floor I found a hat. Now it feels 100% like a RocketCat Game # Also a good sign I bet the 1st boss with it. Awesome game. I like the challenge. Now I'll try also the different characters. Or is it wise to save the money to level up a hero as far as possible first?
Got clean sweep! Had the perfect items to make it happen, idk how to cover spoilers and you guys can probably figure it out anyways so I won't post what I did haha.
I really really hope the creators/developers make a healthy profit on this game. Would love a sequel someday. But mobile gamers tend to be extremely picky so you never know....
I know this has probably already been asked but how do you use the rock looking spell for warrior? It's one you start out with. Not the throwing axe but the other one. I have full ammo on it and have no idea how to use it.
That's a shield. Just swipe down and you'll use your shield, it blocks a limited amount of attacks and projectiles
