Love the game a lot especially the music. Stupid question I guess, but I've reached till level 4 and not encountered any healing potions? But on the upgrade hero page I've paid for them. Do they appear later in the game or am I missing something here?
Try Warrior. Remember to always raise your shield. Don't be afraid of running out of it. Be conservative, don't rush. Hit and run is the best tactic, so immediately after an attack, raise your shield and dodge attacks. First dungeon is actually quite easy, so just keep practicing. I have to practice with the Adventurer, still haven't got the hang of it so I'm destroyed by the first boss.
Enjoying this game so much! Gosh it's amazing. Now I have diablo 3, this & dark souls 2 to play. To many games too little time.
Thank you, I've been kinda saving the shields and hammers for tricky bits so I'll use them a bit more.
I'm totally stuck on the first boss. He moves too fast / the touch controls are too unresponsive. I can't get around behind him to hit him.
If you're a Rogue just dash through him and turn around to backstab. Any other class just bait out his attacks and hit him from the side. Only do 1 or 2 attacks before backing off. Last time I fought him I barely even got hit.
Achievement: [Clean Sweep] It's against the first boss and I did it with the rogue. It's a bit sloppy but the job's done. Don't read or watch if you don't want help! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel To help make things easier (but are not necessary), you can try for it with the following items: Spoiler 1) Shadowtwist Elixir - Grants a persisting stealth for 10 seconds. You can stab in front of the boss and still land backstabs all you want till the duration of the elixir wears off. 2) Blade Venom - Your next attack will inflict an excruciating poison. This is great to add some damage over time. 3) Time Dust - Boosts movement speed and energy recovery briefly. It'll keep your energy up for dodges. 4) Aged Hourglass - Creates a magic circle that speeds you up, slows foes, and dissipates magical projectiles. Hardly necessary but will keep the boss from moving around too much. Here's another video showing how to move around Humphrey as a rogue: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
We have an in-game achievements list. Good, because Game Center's doesn't work offline. So any high score things added shall also be listed in-game, right? Like endless mode. I don't like Game Center because I can't simply check my own scores and achievements offline. (And there's waiting and hoping it syncs my own achievements over the Internet so I can see them myself... *sigh*)
I haven't beat him yet and was doing really well until he does his jump attack because I can't tell where he'll stop and what directions his shockwave will hit. So that attack hit me 3 times and ended me.
The game's top notch and should set standards in ios aprgs. The game's really challenging but is really fun. What class do you guys think is best?
Another nice feature would be a graveyard, with an index of all perished characters and their related scores (preferably together with an exapnded death screen, with more fun and unnecessary stats).
Just keep running in circles. He falls where you were about 2 seconds before. There's a shadow showing where he'll fall. Just make sure to get out of the way of the 8-way blast.
