I haven't got them either (4s iOS 7.1.1 Spanish non-JB), but I've read in the thread that they are rare items obtainable through normal gameplay too.
If any of the Rocketcat devs or anyone here is on GAF, here's the Wayward Souls OT on NeoGAF: Wayward Souls (iOS) |OT| Pixels, magic, and randomized death
Wazhack has a fairly intelligent way to deal with this. Basically if u hold a direction for a certain length of time (perhaps make it variable/adjustable), the game speeds up to facilitate quick movement. The whole game speeds up, not just your character, so the only real advantage is to save time, not move faster than enemies. Good luck with the updates!
This game is fantastic, great upgrade from Mage gauntlet and one of the best apps/games on iOS. However I have this installed on multiple devices, it really screams iCloud. Any way you cloud fit in some kind of cloud save system? It's really killing me not to be able to switch my devices throughout the day and keep my progress.
New areas, including Endless and a huge new area in the first update, submitted soon. MFI controller support. Various tweaks and requests. At some point, monster shopkeepers as a money sink. Secret Gnome Party level. At some point, a final 7th character (playable Paladin from tutorial). We're also planning a PC version with some extra content, much of which will probably find its way to the iOS version in updates. The actual extent (and how frequent) the updates are depends on how well the game does. It's doing ok so far. Missed out on prominent featuring. WazHack was turn based, though.
Sword of fargoal had a similar system. Even though it was also "turn based," i dont think it really effects the usefulness of the mechanic. And i really hate slow walking speeds, call me impatient smurf.
Mage gauntlet was on my wish list forever. Never got around to it. Wasn't a big fan of touch screen controls for games like these. So what do you guys think? Skip mage gauntlet and go for this? Play mage gauntlet first?
Dear Rocketcat, I've been a big fan for a long time, but Wayward Souls kicks this relationship up to the next level. I...I love you.
Those suck. You want to goad them into popping up close to you, but so that you're at a cardinal direction from them. It's ok to take a couple hits from them, though, as they do half damage. At least it's not as bad as getting fixated on them and getting hit by something more dangerous. (whispering) I know (losing grip and falling into lava)
must have played the 3rd dungeon 50 times, no dice. furthest I've gotten is to level 6, but not consistently... must ... unlock ... the cultist!
Just beat the second dungeon and unlocked Spellsword. Awesome! Shield is incredibly usefull. Best special so far!
I must suck at this game, I dunno if it's cos I've never played this type of game or any of the other titles mentioned, or if I'm just crap, I must have been playing hours and hours and I can't seem to get past the first dungeon level 4. I have found a hat though so that cheered me up. Is there a better character to play with? Shoukd I be upgrading a specific thing?
