Yes, it seems to be somewhat random. It ALWAYS happens no matter what after a teleport and ALWAYS at/before interacting with enemies. My understanding of the bug is that once the character is teleported, the bug "initiates" (i have no idea what happens exactly... maybe some value or variable changes). After that, I can walk around the room a little, without attacking enemies or objects. During this period, it may or may not crash. After actually interacting with enemies (sometimes instantaneous, someimes a few seconds after), the bug causes a crash. Very perplexing and frustrating.
Hi Kepa, I think I encounter some bug here. A monster was locked outside the room, and there was no other enemies left inside, but the door just won't open. And I guess the reason may be the monster being right in the doorway when the door shut, because its fireball can shoot through the door now. Though it's absolutely visually outside the room and I can't reach it. It's a, sorry I don't remember the name, that big thorn monster with four feet who shoots fireballs, and it's the red variant. It's sad, cuz I was trying to regain the eternal hat with rogue and I was on floor 85 I wanna attach a screenshot but the TA app crashes everytime I tried, sorry.
Have people lost the eternal hat? Also are you sure there wasn't a ninja hiding? Sometimes they take ages to strike. Sorry, I'm not up to date since I've been engrossed in Crashlands
Oh, er, I've deleted the game before, that's why I have to regain it, not that I lost them because of bugs Yeah, I know the ninja thing, but I encountered similar situation before and no ninja showed eventually, so I decide to report it in case it's actually a bug. And plus the monster shooting through door thing. Hahaha, I'd like to try crashland too, but I have only an ipad2
Contrary to the recommendation in the description, Crashlands plays very well on an iPad 2. The only problem that I encountered is the game crashing after exploring the map for a few hours. Even after crashing, the gameplay progress is saved. The most save progress loss I've experienced after crashing is only 5 minutes! I've played so much of this that after finishing the story, I didn't touch my iPad for a couple of days after being burned out. Damn you got that far only to run into that bug! With the rogue at that! That must've sucked big time! I couldn't wait for the Gauntlet mode update, so I decided to go for some Endless playthrough with Adventurer. Needless to say, I died a lot even before reaching the tenth floor. LOL With some warming up, I'm currently on the 19th floor before my device was low on power. Hope to reach at least the 50th in this run.
Haha, thanks for your information on crashland! Maybe I'll stick to WS longer though, considering Gauntlet and Paladin are coming! So far I've reached beyond 100th floor with Mage and Spellsword, and I want to make it with Rogue, too. You are brave, bro! I suck at Cyril and I'd like to try him after Rogue
And I can back up the iPad 2 working as I've been heavily involved in the thread which has people on old devices. Start playing it once you're done with other games since you won't want anything else once you start haha
I always play Labyrinth rather than Endless, so I'm not used to the difficulty and length of the latter. Cyril is my go-to guy for most of my runs because his sword forge Flicker is fun to use, regardless of my skill. Besides my endless crown for Cultist, the farthest I got was on the 73rd floor as Warrior. I thought that I could never get into any other game so much after playing WS, but Crashlands unexpectedly got me hooked. Still, the fetch quests in the end part got tedious and beating the final boss felt bland. Nonetheless, it's a game that greatly extended the life of my iPad 2.
Got the screenshot that you emailed me. Looks like it just somehow got out of the room and the door closed behind it. There's supposed to be a detection as to if an enemy is out of the room, but it has to be manually set for every room. Seems like there's a couple of rooms where the "inside the room" detection can be placed just barely outside one of the doors. The problem with fixing this is figuring out which rooms are involved, exactly. And there's a ton of rooms. This month's update will hit on the 18th, and will have the Gauntlet mode. Paladin is in either late March or April, at about the same time as the PC release or a little after.
Thanks for the reply, Kepa. Anything else I can do to help figuring out which room it is? I haven't forfeited the run yet.
I unexpectedly got my Adventurer to the 100th floor with Sunnebrand, blue lantern, and blast marble. What helped a lot were the health bonus pets so it felt unfair.
Take more pictures of it, like of all the corners and send them. The health pets get nerfed some in the update coming on the 18th. We'll probably clear the endless scoreboards for the Paladin update, just since so much has changed over time. That or archive the old scoreboard.
Digging the new content update! Gawd this game just keeps being fun to come back to and with the Paladin character coming in the next update I am quite certainly never going to be deleting this from my phone! Keep em coming Kepa!
I just beat the gauntlet as the rogue at my first run. It didn't feel necessarily more difficult to me, or maybe I just had good luck to have some of the easier enemies sets for rogue? Since I didn't have any necromancers room or thorns room EDIT: as per the baron, maybe thorns actually make the battle easier for that you don't need to break shields to kill them
You're just a good player. I always died at baron because I still can't consistently dodge his attacks.
Thank you! But I'm actually not that good. I used to have a hard time fighting baron, too. But one day I saw some tips about him in this thread, and then I started to get better battling him. That said, baron is still the most difficult boss to me EDIT: there are some good advices about baron on page 126, maybe you'd like to check them. And as I remember, never attacking him while facing him or he will counterattack you
