I've had about 5 crashes since this update, all while playing as the spellsword and all while I'm dashing or using a charge attack. When I reopen the app all my coins appear to have been earned thankfully.
Same here. It happens with the last update and with the previous update. iPad Mini 2 iOS 7.1.2 I'm back to a previous version (v.1.262)
Hey Kepa, I'm just curious about the new boss battles. What's new about them to make them so much harder? Also, how much harder would you say one Gauntlet level is than one Labyrinth level?
Gauntlet's at the same difficulty as a Labyrinth level on paper, but the structure is different. As an example, the first level is a mix of the mines, orc, boar, golem, and moss rooms. I think this actually ends up being more difficult than endless in the short term, especially once you get to the castle and catacombs style areas and have to fight an entire room of mana inks and resurrection mages. With Endless, you mostly get the "can get any monster in a spawn" floors, which can lead to less consistently difficult groups. Since its so random, you have a good chance of getting a group that doesn't work together really well. That and the first three levels all end with a difficult boss. Gauntlet bosses have 33% more health than the older versions, with the final one having 66% more. Changes off top of head: Humphrey isn't a ton harder, but he does get more spammy in his attacks. Baron now summons the jumpy Thorned enemies (!!!) instead of the shield guards. He disappears for a shorter amount of time and teleports less, but attacks more frequently. Really the big issue is that his guard summon is way more dangerous now, and because his level is so difficult you often get to him with low health. Bearer now has new attacks that are more harsh bullet patterns. Its extra health also means that you'd need two hourglasses to shut it down. And again, since the level is harder, it's more difficult to hoard supplies. Shadow gets to its tougher summon patterns in half the time that it used to. In the normal version of the fight, you could usually kill it before it started summoning nightmare enemies.
The Gauntlet Baron makes normal baron look like a wimp, and that's saying a lot!!! Will there be enough Emberforges available for us to reach the optimum build?
Yeah, just barely. There's 6 floors and an emberforge on each floor. Though it's likely you'll have to or want to skip at least one.
"Want to skip at least one"? That sounds like something new. Does that mean you need to fight some optional rooms to get to the emberforges?
I have been trying for SO LONG to beat the labyrinth, and yesterday, I was at the final diamond boss, with a health potion and most of my shield charges left, when my game crashed. Oh, the pain was terrible. The one time I survive through 19 floors AND I don't run into any teleporters, the labyrinth still managed to defeat me. It was right when the boss was shooting those purple things from the sky that my game crashed, so I think the crashes have to do with particles/objects appearing from the top of the screen. Both the teleporters and the boss projectiles originate from that position, so, something must be going on with them. Argh. Still a little frustrated.
Alright, thanks for the new info. It's something else we can check. We know about the teleporter bug, but it happens if you're below iOS 9 and it happens for no good reason that we can tell on our end. It's also really hard for us to test it, since we don't know of a good way to get iOS 8 on an actual device. The solution right now is upgrading the OS, though we know why people avoid doing this haha. Edit: Also, do you remember EXACTLY when it crashed? Like what position the projectiles were? For example, did it crash when the very first projectile was just entering the screen? Was the projectile visible at all?
It crashed right after the last of the boss's bolts appeared from the sky and became visible... And yeah I can't teally upgrade ios because my phone doesn't have lots of memory. Btw the teleporter crash usually happens when the teleport beam first becomes visible, when I attak an enemy after being teleported, and when I double tap the home button right after being teleoprted.
