I deleted and reinstalled. Big fan of the game so kind of enjoyed starting from scratch.

Beat the first boss twice snd both times the game shut down after. My coins and upgrades save but my progress does not.

Help?

Duplicated the bug on my end. From a fresh reinstall:

1. Exit out of tutorial level (though this step is optional).
2. Pick a character.
3. Beat a dungeon, it won't crash. Repeat with other characters if you want.
5. Force kill Wayward Souls on iOS 8.
6. Pick a character you haven't cleared it as yet.
7. Beat a dungeon. The game will crash as soon as you touch the stairs.
8. The game will be fine for any character that got the badge *before* you force killed.
9. If you use dabigunlock support code, all characters will be fine. Both the new ones and even the ones that were crashing after you force killed WS.

This seems very consistent. Doesn't really seem like there's a way out of it, though, unless you did all your playthrough immediately after reinstalling. Let me know if anyone comes up with something, or finds something new related to above.

Bug is being fixed, fix will be submitted as soon as we can.

Thanks for the update Kepa. Is it too soon to know if the fix will wipe our current affected save or will progress stay preserved? I've put a lot of gold into upgrades at this point and don't mind playing it knowing I can't move on with the current character, but if I'm going to lose everything....

 

It shouldn't wipe your current save. If it does, we'll also have more support codes in the update, so restoring your stuff should be easier (even upgrades).

Also note from my last post: dabigunlock will fix the crashing, but it will also unlock all areas/characters.

 

Hey Kepa, has the hotfix been submitted or still in development?

Got the update, only problem is I only got paragon of the new achievments. A fix fix for that would be good, but really just a minor issue.
