Universal Wayward Souls (by Rocketcat Games) [TouchArcade Game of the Year 2014]

Just beat Humphrey with the Warrior and exited the mines no problem. iPhone 6 Plus 128gb running iOS 8.0.2.

 

Maybe the game exempts you because you absolutely wrecked that endless dungeon haha.

 

Maybe the new bug is iPhone 6 device specific? Anyone with a Plus or an older device having the problem? Anyone with an iPhone 6 and iOS 8 that isn't having the problem?

There *was* but these bugs are taking up so much time that we may have to delay it till the next year...

 

Deleted and reinstalled game and restarted my phone and I was able to finish the first level #

 

My game just crashed on the 984th floor of the endless dungeon. NOOOOOOO. I QUIT WAYWARD SOULS. (Jk game is waaaay too good) Thanks for the awesome game, can't wait for the next content update


P.S. Don't think it was the game, every app I opened just kept crashing.

 

Weird. NomaD, did you try deleting and reinstalling completely?

 

Nope, I haven't yet. I'll do that and do the first dungeon again in a bit and report back later.

 

Alright, reinstalled my game and restarted my device. Just beat the first dungeon again and it didn't crash this time! How odd.. I really hope it doesn't crash again!

 

Kepa do you know if the reset bug I was having earlier has been fixed? I'm a little bit scared to play lol

 

Im also getting the same crash when trying to exit first dungeon after beating the boss.

On an iPhone 5 running 8.0.2

 

Make sure to try deleting and reinstalling the game then restart your phone (don't know if restarting helps or not, but why not?), this worked for me.

What did you do about your progress did you restore it from a backup or did you start fresh?

 

Got a report that reinstalling doesn't fix it for everyone. Let me know if anyone else has this problem.

May end up heaving to delay the next content update, and just do another support update instead.

 

Oh darn, that's a shame.. Hopefully things work out well soon. Saucybag if you were still wondering, I just started fresh since all I had were coins.

I just reinstalled, rebooted and re-applied my save and had the crash again when exiting the mines.

iPhone 5. Non jail broken. iOS 8.0.2

 

Just bought the game yesterday and it's been a lot of fun so far!

was playing Rogue (?) and managed to beat the first boss today. Game crashed as I was walking towards the stairs. Lost the two hats I had found during that run, and some money

Playing on an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.

Would I lose my upgrades, hats, money, etc. by reinstalling?

 

Without first backing up to your computer, yes.

You can get the ws_save.dat file by using the computer iTunes program, then going to the game's documents folder.

Could really use a bunch of these, from people with persistent crash problems. Trying to rule different stuff out.
