I enjoy playing as the Mage the most. It seems to be very effective if you can find a corner or a door to take cover behind so that in the case that you agro too many enemies and get overwhelmed you can safely recharge mana. That being said, I'm not exactly writing any strategy guides because I've only beat the fist dungeon and almost the second.
I'm SOOOO close to 100%ing the game, except for 2 small things: 1: I don't have the Gnomey hat. I visited the Gnomey room once, and didn't get the hat (I didn't know it was in there at the time). Am I out of luck, or is there still a way to get the Gnomey hat? 2: I just can't seem to beat the Shadow as the Mage. The time-consuming energy recharge, combined with low health and rapidly spawning enemies always edges me out. I've lost to the Shadow on floor 20 probably 5 times now. Anyone have any tips, or better yet, a video of them beating the Labyrinth with the Mage? (Here's looking at you, JackMule )
1. It's in the credits level. 2. I'll try to record a run tomorrow. Whether or not I make it through the Labyrinth as the Mage is heavily dependant on what forge upgrades I get.
Hey, I fully upgraded the adventurer (including gift upgrade) and didn't receive the outraged medal Not sure if this is a known issue or a random glitch. Got it right away when I fully upgraded my warrior Update: Restarting the app fixes the issue, thanks DantBro18 !
Wow, I just absolutely crushed the shadow. Still post the video for everyone else by all means, but man that time it was easy.
The game is too hard! Get stuck with adventurer on act 2...Adventurer simplify too week. Easily get my mega to act 4.
I mean for Mage Gauntlet not Wayward Souls because there are male and female characters with interesting stories in Wayward Souls. I just thought it will fits. I will buy the MG either way anyway.
I did it, 100%'ed Wayward Souls! Man, it's so bittersweet because I've probably sank a couple of hundred hours into this game and 100%ing is extremely satisfying, but the whole time there was always something to work towards, and now there really isn't. Of course, I'm still going to play and save up coins for the Paladin, maybe try some speed runs, or record some runs of the different dungeons if I ever quit procrastinating and learn how to record video from my iDevice
Just did the same thing with the Rogue. The spawns were fairly generous, with waves of orcs, drudges, the dynamite-throwing guys, and the lightning-casting little purple dudes. No blorpx's or insidiators, which are the ones that give me the most trouble.
Remember the good old days when you didn't expect to be able to beat a game on your first try, with your eyes closed, and one hand?
Just keep trying! I've been playing for weeks and I still haven't beat the gold dungeon with ANY characters. I'm going through and leveling up all the players stats so I can get their gift ability. I feel the best way is start getting the gifts from characters you enjoy (since it'll be less of a hassle to fully upgrade them) once you have a few gift upgrades, it becomes easier to beat the game with characters. In the end, however, it is a matter of skill. You have to memorize enemy attack patterns, ration your items, monitor your energy meter, and above all else, have razor sharp reflexes. This last necessity makes it painfully obvious that some people will NEVER be able to beat this game. That doesn't mean it's not fun, weeks playing the same dungeon and I'm still having a blast. I's like life, what's the point in a goal that's easily attainable?
Pardon my ignorance, but what are these "gift abilities"? Something beyond and after purchase of all the paid upgrades?
The final upgrade for all classes is a gift upgrade. This will give a boost to the other classes. ie: "All other classes re-gain energy 2% quicker."
