Well I got the second one, just had to do it several times before the achievement unlocked. Still having trouble with the first though.. By "spells", do you mean just the standard projectile attack, or the "hold down and charge" attack? I've used the regular projectile attack 4x in a row on a Temerator in probably 2 seconds, and nothing. I would assume the charged attacks would take more than 4 seconds to charge and fire 4 shots, though..?
Ah ok, I guess you have to do this on a boss, everyone else will die before you cast 4 spell attacks on them. Thanks for the help
That's too bad. That's probably the best mob you can ask for. Those enemies bounce when hit. Crowds of blobs are the worst, followed by crowds of leaping dogs.
Awesome; thanks Kepa! I've been a fan since Hook Champ, and I've loved all of your games since. Here's hoping I have the chance to revisit them soon!
Crowds of the purple blorpx's combined with the orange rushing ones. UGH. "Ok orange guys, you keep him running away, and keep him busy stick-and-moving, while we hang out back here and produce 77 little green guys and exploding guys "
Ha. This string of comments is cathartic to read- like sitting in a circle of chairs at a support group. Agreed! Damn blobs. On a completely random note- thank goodness for hats because I'd otherwise feel like I was playing as Maggie Simpson when running Mage.
Kepa I have an idea, could you add random encounters with the other characters, for example you're the warrior and you meet the rogue, etc
I think this is the best all-time iOS game at this point. It's so much fun and so satisfying. Thanks Rocketcat for making a true classic
Although I think we're starting to snowball a bit hard on the requests, that actually would be a pretty cool idea. I think a good way to do it would be to make each character a boss of about a 10-floor dungeon, with their own unique attack patterns. After beating each class of character you'd maybe just get an extra special hat based on the character you've just beaten (a flaming Warrior's helm if you just beat the Warrior, etc). That would add a staggering amount of replayability to the game for completionists like myself. Just seems like it wouldn't be a programmer's nightmare to implement, since the characters and fighting arenas already exist, and basically all they'd need is pre/post-fight dialogue, and an attack pattern. Again, this is an idea for the future, for when all your currently planned updates have been released, the game reaches it's peak, and after sales have started to stagnate and you're wondering what'll be the next big update that'll draw new players in, and get existing players talking up a storm again. It'd be a hell of a buzz-starter for right before you were thinking about announcing your next big release. Ideas and ramblings, regard them only as such lol.
I've got to the 18th floor of the new dungeon with the warrior (who I didn't care for before). Seems like the only character I can get close to with the new dungeon. Funny because he was the last person I beat the gold dungeon with. Lots of practice needed but I love the labyrinth. Looking forward to new updates
So it's been a common Opinion from pretty much the beginning that the Warrior has been the best character. Right now though I'd have to say the SpellSword has edged him out... Lets see Dash vs. Axes... Ya.. Axes r ok but nowhere near as usefull as being able to dash. SS 1 Shield vs nothing(or dash if u count that? I dunno) ok Warrior wins here but with the decrease in Max shields it's kinda not as great... 1 to 1 Items.. SpellSword has a huge advantage here.. Having acces to most of the best scrolls/items in the game also without having to worry about getting a swipe item (shields axes etc..) he's garunteed an item. SS 2 - 1 Forge upgrades - this is where The SpellSword really shines having usefull and Important upgrades across the board. Swords - Warrior basically shouldn't switch his sword unless its for Skullhack or to try going with something else to get a level 2 sword. SpellSword has Manaripper, Phoenix Plume, Desperate edge and Phaseblade (all usefull and situational.) SS 3 - 1 Ok now lets look at The Warriors arm upgrades, Steel Plate(all damge reduction) is usually the best pick here vs. the SpellSwords (Magic Damage reduction only) or Crit bonus based on health left or Brief immunity after being hit.(all great choices.) to close to call.. Finally there's the Warriors Shields vs the SpellSwords Uhh backpack thing ... The Warrior has a Physical Damage shield a Magic Damge Shield an offensive Shield a light weight shield and another shield. SpellSword has Crit bonus or aborb magic on dash, Ignite on dash, warp dash and the energy saving dash. I guess. SS 3 - 2 The Warrior gets the slight edge here(for the Sheilds) but overall it's the SpellSword by a huge margin. Main reason are the possible combinations between his three different Upgrades and how they intertwine to make up dozens of great possibilities . (This is for the most part unique to the SS and the main reason I believe he is better) sure the other characters have some good cobinations but they just don't compliment eachother as well as the SS upgrades. SS 4 -2 Finally, the Warrior obviously edges out the SS on Max Health but the SS makes up for that with his Item buffs. Finall tally SS 5 - Warrior 3 Also I forgot to mention That even the SpellSword's items have great Synergy (finally remember the word : /) with his Forge Upgrades.. Of course all of this is just speculation and my opinion etc.. But I feel like its something worth bringing up. If for any reason to show why this character "works" so well and maybe something to show how other charters could benifit etc.. Before I'm done I guess I'll say ok maybe The Warrior is still the best "Begginer" Character, but as far as a Character that can be both practical and exceptionally diverse I feel The SpellSword is the most dangerous In the hands of an experienced player. Someone who can use His forge upgrades and items to gain a sizable advantage in a game noted for its cruel and punishing gameplay.
Eh, I don't know if Spellsword's the easiest to beat the game with. I'm 3/3 for Diamond Dungeon runs as the Warrior, even with some undesired forge upgrades. Spellsword is without a doubt the best attacker though.
