Its not the hardware. Prob just older iOS versions have the hat bug. I got iPad air with newest iOS and i got hats no thats only storage
I really hope they retinize the cut scenes, while not. Big deal it takes away from a pretty much perfect gaming experience, I did let Kepa know about this last week...
my device is iphone 5 ios 7.1.1 and didnt got no hats i found 4 hats in some chests by playing the game but just one is actually a hat(indiana jones style hat), others three look more like helms/masks
That's not the hardware or whatever you say. Kepa knows about it and he is looking into it. We should get a fix in the next update.
Just to add my thoughts to some of the prior usability comments. I also find myself fighting with the interface a lot more than should be necessary. The secondary ability "swipes" are really imprecise and at least on my iPad 2 go off when don't want them and don't go off when you do. I suggest including an option for simple button array like in Dungeon Quest. Secondly, having to go into menus for potions and maps is really immersion breaking as well. The game seems to really encourage map use but its 2 levels into the menus. Again I would try to surface some kind of map and potion control into primary interface.
here is a screenshot with the hats i found in chests i'm curious, how many hats can you collect? and can we find the hats we didnt got 'cos of the bug/issue... just by playing the game?
agree! an option to use/see a mini-map while you play will be great. also a button to use the potions and an option to use a button for the special attack ...
Hundreds as of the release build, more will be added in updates. The early buyer hats can still be found ingame as very rare finds, in case people miss the first weekend. Hopefully we can restore the EB hats to people who bought the game on the weekend and didn't receive them.
GOTY no question. Great job and well worth the wait. What character are people enjoying most. Keep rotating between the three as I haven't found a "go to" yet.
I've been playing the warrior simply because the rogue and mage can't take enough hits to be effective. I also find the 8-way directional to seriously inhibit aiming with the mage.
Wayward Souls is the Dark Souls of iOS. I am at a loss of words here, its... perfect... I love the Secret of Mana influence, the story tidbits in a roguelike setting while having some checkpoints, the graphics are beautiful with so many great effects, there are a lot of classes that play completely different from each other and each having a unique backstory setting for going into the tower, many different creatures to slay, it truly shows two years of love. I hope this selling method does extremely well and change the AppStore pricing for good. 100 stars.
Now that the game has been out for a bit can someone please confirm if you can save and quit? I know it had permadeath, but is it like Cavern or FTL where you can quit at any time and pick up right where you left off?
Your position in the dungeon is saved even if you force close the app. The only way you'd be kicked back to the main menu is if you quit the dungeon manually through the options or if you win/die. Gold/hats/upgrades from the character menu are saved no matter what, even if you die.
iv said many times in this thread.. when you force quite/close the game it will let you resume when you start the game again. at least on iOS7.. no save scumming either Waahh? Its iOS related. ppl sticking to ancient iOS versions always brings problems.
That would be great. I'm having troubles activating with a swipe on an ipad. I'm having to, I suppose, flick it very fast to activate an ability but most of the time, unless I do it very fast, I just do a normal attack.
