I made flame traps like 0.2 seconds easier (which makes a big difference) and made mines visible from 16 more pixels away (which is pretty helpful without making them completely weak I hope). What type of staff are you using? If using the normal staff, you can try using normal attacks (which have an AOE component) and alternating that with your downswipe. If you have the upgrades, downswipe will give you energy while contributing to your damage and keeping stuff away. As you do this, you can hope they drop ammo for your gust and sword and keep plowing away that way.
What I mean with the Twins is that with a full bar it shoots the 2 like normal... But at some point less than full it just shoots one, most likely at the point the regular one can be shot.( comparatively to the mages staff how at the full bar it shoots the full powered shot but at less it shoots the smaller beams)
I think I've read developer posted about putting an end to updates till PC version release, is it true?
Now I know how the big morning star guys timing off... It happens when they are pushed by any kind of attack. Unfortunately, each hero has chances to cause this problem. Hope this helps!
That's not exactly how the mage works. The mage only fires the full power shot if you charge it, and have enough power. Otherwise you use the normal attack if you try to use a charge attack. It's just like everyone else's charge attack works. The difference here is that the mage uses energy for her normal attack too.
Third update will be after the PC version release. Second update is coming fairly soon, but there will be a gap in time between that and third update. This was always the plan, since the third update will have a lot of added stuff coming from the PC version.
I'm replaying the first dungeon to get more coins and better equips before diving into the next one but after completing it only the hats I get get saved. Is this a bug or intended? Do I need to reinstall the game to fix it?
Your equips (other than hats) reset back to the basics each time. The only things that carry over are gold, hats, and purchased abilities. Also, you might as well just go to the second dungeon. There's better gold drops there.
Damn, I thought those were real updates instead of just boosts for a single dungeon. Then what's perma-death about this game?
Perma-death means that there are no checkpoints in each dungeon. You can unlock each dungeon by beating the last, but if you die in the dungeon, it's always back to floor 1.
Then there isn't any point in replaying other dungeons apart from hats after the boss? I actually liked the idea of the equips being permanent until dying. I hope Rocketcat can add something like that for one of their upcoming games. Permadeath just doesn't seem that much of a punish if you don't really lose anything.
fearful visage Love the game. One question on upgrades: Fearful Visage - The cultist upgrade that gives your attacks a chance to stun enemies. I've only got it to level 3 but it has never once triggered for me. Does it not trigger for dagger throws?
Well, aside from the fact that every dungeon is randomly generated and there are 6 characters (presently) to beat each one with. But yes, once you beat the boss of each dungeon and collected the medallion for each character, yes, you are grinding for coins and hats.
I'd say the number of people who have cleared all dungeons with all characters is probably less than 100.
I'd rather not. But the game is pretty much as you said, you do lose stuff. You lose your weapon/equip upgrades (the game changers). If you lost all your gold and hats, it'd be pointless to collect hats and seeing how the game is not easy, most people wouldn't have that much gold at all if they kept losing it.
Does anyone know how exactly the Cultists' stealth works? By and large, enemies behave as I would expect - they show no indication they know where I am. However, it is not always like this. The cloaked enemies will charge as you run past, and in rooms with summoned enemies (the zombie summoner rooms), I have been chased by the horde after trying to get away using stealth. Is there some aspect of stealth that gives you away? Something to avoid doing while stealthed? (I guess the cloaked enemies behavior is designed so that you don't have to release your own stealth to clear a room, but I am most curious about the other cases.)
I must request a boss health bar at the top of the screen, I find it annoying to die from a boss and not see how much damage I've done.
