Charging your energy meter faster sounds pretty good.
    Change it how?

The rotate option does not rotate Game Center's "Welcome back, Username" banner. And the volume change popup is also upside-down.
Auto rotate would be more convenient anyway.

And still no free hats for me. :(

I believe I'm in the minority, but I didn't enjoy Mage Gauntlet, mainly because of the controls. I just couldn't get used to them, in any configuration. Wanted to love the game and many aspects of it I did, but overall I felt like I was wrestling too much with getting the game to respond the way I wanted.

Does Wayward Souls feel much better in this regard, or is it similar?

The controls for Wayward Souls feel very natural, I had it down instantly. It's simply, left thumb for movement, right thumb for attacking (including swiping). There's no D-pad or buttons to fumble with. Personally, I haven't played Mage Gauntlet so I can't compare the two. But I usually don't like rogue-likes unless they are turn-based, because of the controls, and this game was absolutely no problem for me.

Is this game best played on an iPhone or a iPad?

I may be developing MGD (Multiple Gaming Disorder). Between this, Hearthstone, and Tiny Dice Dungeon, I'll have no time for anything else. Sorry, wife and kids, priorities are priorities. These games are too cool to pass up.

    Rob

PS - MGD is just a term me and my friends throw around when they to many games we want to play at once

I'd say iphone but I haven't tried the ipad version. Feels better as a more "portable" game. You don't actually need a bigger screen to enjoy it. I did hear someone some pages back said the swiping doesn't work as well on the bigger screen.

He's referring to the tutorial, which isn't randomly generated. Everyone can find that secret.

iPad. Tiny iPhone screen ruins the immersion. Well thats my opinion.

The mini is the perfect size. but the air does the job with style as well.

you can even just air or hdmi it to a tv and play without looking at the screen so that way iphone would work well to

    well thats my 5 cent

You can replay the tutorial from the option menu if anyone missed the thingy in the tutorial

will the next update add an option to make the game harder? something like a dificulty level option where you can select to play on a nightmare mode...

i find it to easy... finished the first 5th floors of the first dungeon, killed the boss and didnt get killed not even once ...

i hope a nightmare mode will be added

No, nonsense! dancefirst is correct. It's in the introduction, but after the first gate closes, at the place where you meet the Zombies for the first time. There's a secret area which triggers an important cutscene. Tried it three times, always the same. The introduction isn't randomized, btw. Get your facts straight.

I'm playing this on a 32gb ipod 4. I've played for about two hours as the Mage, no problems so far.

Well, no problems other than not getting the bonus hats.
