Same problem as others with the update not showing up. I went to the App Store and searched for Wayward Souls. When it came up instead of saying open it said update so I did and it worked. This however does not work with my ipad. I don't get the option to update only to open
I'm getting the same screen flip bug also. Noticed that when I start the game up my Game Center log in comes from the bottom rather than the top. Maybe because I had screen flip activated pre update and loaded my backup from ifunbox after updating through iTunes?
We'll do a hotfix tomorrow that let's you disable the flip or set it manually like before. Our engines really old now and has trouble with this. Also will fix the no badges for beating labyrinth. Not sure if there's a third thing we can sneak in fast for a hotfix.
A gamma slider? haha Seriously though, my main complaint is that the tilesets are hard to read in many cases, esp in dark levels. I often think extraneous floor details are walls or obstacles, and frequently get hung up on pillars I can't see.
Thanks very much! I actually love the screen flip option it's part of the rocketcat feel. Gives me hook champ nostalgia
Still no update here (US), hope it works without me having to risk my progress (all upgrades, all achievements except hats, 32000 coins saved up for paladin upgrades) in a sync or update
The screen flip is really frustrating. Why can't it flip and have the rest of the phone's functions flip with it? We're years into the iOS ecosystem and here we are getting upside-down notifications. Nothing worse than just walking around and accidentally pulling up your notification centre from the bottom, which the iPhone is especially sensitive to. More importantly than that though of course is the update actually rolling out. It's been beaten to death already, but it really is like having to wait until December 28th for Christmas.
The engine predates the current iOS ecosystem. A modern screen flip won't happen sadly, unless we redo the engine of course. Which I don't think will happen either. If this is a huge enough deal, we could always make our next game PC first and then take the opportunity to port it to iOS, thus giving us a chance to redo the engine. That'd delay it a lot, though. Email Apple on the slow rollout for the update. If anyone else asks about this problem, also tell them to email Apple haha. Though I kind of doubt they'll fix it because I remember this cropping up for years, for different games and apps.
So I just received my favorite hat as of yet# Collecting hats has been the one thing keeping me going trying to get past the wretched catacombs
Game Impressions Review: The game is great and I love the art, gameplay and most of all, THE MUSIC! It's like Dark Souls right on your phone! Final Verdict: 10/10 Device Played On: iPod Touch 3G 32GB Firmware: IOS 5.1.1 Screenshots:
I had the same issue of no update on my iPad. I deleted and reinstalled, lost my progress. No concern, that's not my main device. Are we getting the info about the equipment when we "click" on them soon? I'm interested in seeing all that.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386 You can download an app with your computer and use iTunes to send it to your iDevice. I don't know if you have to sync everything to send one app (you can drag and drop it on your device.) (I've just downloaded everything to my device instead of from my computer so I don't recall if it does a sync then.)
I know Rocketcat doesn't have control over this, but could someone who's experienced this update delay tell me if the update is just delayed or I have to sync?
Lol so frustrating... Everytime I get a notification the screen flips please tell me there will be a minor update that will fix this soon
If it's any relief to you, 99% of us are acutely aware that Rocketcat has nothing to do with the delay in the update rollout. Believe me we wouldn't be clamouring for it so badly if we weren't so over the moon about the game.
I deleted from my iPad and reinstalled and still got the original version :-/ The update just isn't registering as a later version IMHO. Suggest the dev contact Apple and complain loudly as the App Store service is what the Dev pays 30% for.
