That definitely makes sense for people who can't beat the Gold dungeon, although I would still suggest something that encourages making progress rather than just giving up and dying if a run's not going well. Something along the lines of "Survive X floors in the Catacombs across all runs" rather than "Die X times in the Catacombs." Or possibly an exploration-based objective, like "Find and open X skull chests in the Catacombs."
Apple Handles It! For everyone who can't update Wayward Souls, this is on Apple's side not Rocketcat's! Either restart your your app store or your mobile device OR wait another day for the update to show!
Yeah I'd love to hear more thoughts from everyone on the class balance after the update. There's like 8 or 9 forges sprinkled through Labyrinth. They're always on the same floors. That sounds really good. Will probably just make all the character "pity unlocks" be "Open X Chests" in their respective areas. Paladin would probably be like 200 chests in labyrinth. The others at 30/50/70 in mines/tower/catacombs, respectively. Long enough where doing the actual objective is more likely, unless you get stuck. Will come up with some other reward for beating Labyrinth as all classes.
Dear Gold Dungeon, You suck and I hate your sucky face. Kindly eat a bag of d's. Sincerely, Guise PS You suuuuuuuck.
Loving the floor numbers on the maps, but the Catacombs are still killer. Maybe it's mental at this point. I think I'm fairly good at this game (although maybe I'm not), but I just can't make any real progress in the Catacombs with any of the five characters.
I don't need floor numbers, some of the trends I've noticed in catacombs -first floor doesn't have a chest -forges on 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 7th floors -3rd, 6th, sometimes 4th and 5th floors are special themed (demons, undead, faceless)
Have you tried watching the expert YouTube videos? Seeing someone else do it helped me, gave me some strategies to try and copy.
/sigh.....reaaaaally wish I could update, but it's only saying "Open" on my appstore instead of "Update"
Neither rebooting nor restarting the AppStore app fixes the issue. As a sort of test I got the update on my iphone by deleting and reinstalling the app... but, I'm not willing to do that on my iPad because I don't want to the lose my progress. Hopefully in the next day or two apple will resolve this, but in the meantime it's a strange and unique issue that I've never seen on the App Store before, and those of us experiencing it are definitely justified in discussing it on this thread.
Gold Dungeon got my missive. Finally beat it with Warrior. Last time I felt this sense of videogame accomplishment might have been that last Space level in Hook Champ.
You can back up your save file, get the updated app, and restore the save file. This is currently the only way to share progress between devices, anyway. It isn't exactly uncommon. There was recently a high-profile case of this situation (think it was with Instagram) where nobody was getting the update.
Had the same problem with the most recent Skype update. Fixed it by logging out of my iTunes acct and logging back in. I've also read that going to "purchased" and finding the app it will day "update" instead of open.
Thanks for the info. I must never have noticed an update issue with another app because I've never been as eager and excited for an update, lol. I'll drop the discussion then and keep waiting....
