    Thanks for the comments... :)

I understand its yall's game etc.. I just did it for fun pretty much. If any of my ideas even remotely makes it into the actual game in any way I'd be extremely appreciative.

I know y'all will make him awesome, but that still a ways away.

Did you understand atleast what I was trying to do with the heals more damge based on how much of the floor he clears etc.. Cuz paladins are suppose to be like extremely devoted with a stong sense of duty etc.. Plus it kinda make sense being rewarded in some way for clearing the whole floor.

I dunno whatever.. Guess that wouldn't work if the paladin is gonna not get alot of healing through floors or whatever you were saying.

Oh well, still waiting for the first update to come.. And even though I probly already thanked you for making this game ill do it again cuz I play it pretty much everyday(probly way too much actually)

So thanks again and good luck on everything blah blah... ;)

Sorry I didn't mean to imply you were being emotional about IAP, I was just saying there is a forum dedicated to the discussion of IAP, I think it'd be most efficient to keep this thread dedicated strictly to discussion of Wayward Souls. That said, if you refuse to buy Mage Gauntlet because it has IAP then you are missing out on both a great game and some cool background info to the enemies in WS. The IAP in MG is completely optional, it's just to purchase some equipment that is not even remotely necessary to win the game. I only purchased it to support Rocketcat games. By support I mean that all of the IAP I think is $6 which ends up probably being like $3 after tax and Apple's cut, so Kepa I hope you are enjoying that half a latte on me. zombiemuscle, if you are steadfast in your resolve against purchasing games with IAP, I'd be happy to gift the game to you (mostly because the following post of yours made me laugh out loud) in hopes to change your mind, PM me.

I also find it appealing as a player, just surprised to hear that from a developer ha. I agree the buttons are fine for MG, I just think it would help players who want to start with MG and then play WS get used to the control scheme. If it's a lot more work then cutting and pasting some code though, never mind. I do think you should do more cross promotion then the "More Games" button of MG from WS though. Something along the lines of "this is a sequel to MG and you may enjoy playing that game first" or something. I beat the gold dungeon with all 6 characters before I went back to play Mage Gauntlet, and I regret not knowing how much easier WS would be if I had played through MG first.

    Cool list man.

Also, I've asked the first post submitter to edit his post and add these links to this thread so hopefully they will be easier to find:

I think we did it that way just so it fit the same on iPhone. I'd like to do a last worn/last found hat goes to the top of the list, later.

Yeah typo. Cultist has +healthrecovery but no +maxhealth, Paladin would have more +maxhealth and maybe base health than anyone, but no +healthrecovery except for the Adventurer Gift.

Yeah it makes sense thematically, but I think I'll save that idea for another game. Probably one that puts less of a focus on clearing every room, more on exploration. We pretty much force you to kill everything, anyway, is the problem. We did this mostly because the enemy AI's pathfinding isn't good enough to chase you down.

Every time I think I'm done playing this game it sucks me back in. I'm giving up on the Catacombs until the update and focusing on getting all the characters there. I've made it with the Warrior, Mage, and Spellsword. Each time I start concentrating on a different character it's like playing a new game. I've said it before and will say it again....thank you Kepa and Rocketcat.

Kepa, when I heard the gunner class was being scrapped I was sad (because it sounded so awesome) but now you say "NEXTGAME" could have up to twice as many classes as Wayward. Will something like the gunner be in the game?

    hel ya

An ammo dependent crossbow hunter's planned. Same design concept. It's all pretty early though.

No idea on ETA. We never do, really. NEXTGAME is its own story, no relation to Mage Gauntlet and Wayward Souls. Mage Gauntlet 2 is planned, but it's in the future. Like at least a year before we even start it, we have another game to do first.

So wayward souls is related to Mage gauntlet but it's not a direct sequel? I am confused. People are saying sequel or related.

If it takes IAP to get more cosmetic stuffin wayward like different weapons that change your appearance (for example a flaming sword) then I would pay ten dollars. The IAP would make chests start dropping the other items. We could then have a weapon chest next to the hat box. These weapons would just be for fun and looks and it would keep us playing longer. It would increase revenue so you can spend more time developing code name NEXTGAME.

Plz add some sort of IAP for cool stuff maybe pets I mean c'mon ;)

Can you make an easier mode for people who completely suck at this game but would like to play it without pulling their hair out? :)

They do, everyone knows how to use a crossbow. You pull the trigger and the bolt fires. An archer is different than a crossbowman however, I was just wanting to see some bows in a rocketcat game :p

Sorry I'm sure this has been posted before, but will NEXTGAME be the same art style as MG and WS or will it be new (possibly like the mockup you posted to facebook describing the game as a brutal, gory, and tactical sword combat action-adventure) ? Personally, my vote goes for the MG/WS art style, which I think is amazing

The next update (and second update for the Rogue) might help you out because some of the characters get stronger, as do health potions. I don't really like the idea of making an "easy mode" toggle though, seems cheap to me. In the future, there will also be the monster shops that can let you use gold to help your survival.

In the next game I think I'd like to keep the fight-by-fight difficulty about the same, but make grinding a bit more viable. I'd also make the playthrough time shorter, but with more replay due to more characters. I'd also like to make it "open dungeon", so you can do it in any order you want and unlock the final area just by doing everything one at a time. More "opt-in" challenges to increase the difficulty, rather than doing an easy mode.

We'll try a different style I think. Future games in the MG/WS universe will keep that art style though.

That destroys enemy magic shots, right? Why would it destroy coins and why would you want it to?
