Sometimes you have to hold your hand up and say "what is all the fuss about" with a game? This is one of those games for me, it's ok but why such glowing reviews, I must be missing something? While I respect them, I don't understand them or agree with them because this is average fair in my opinion but hey, everyone to there own views GaZ
Try standing still and waiting for them to attack instead of running around. It seemed to help for me. Might've just been luck though.
I think that's two separate issues. I always play landscape games with the home button on the right, but some games still have inverted notifications.
I think they are basically the same issue. In every app I've used which supports changing orientation using the accelerometer, when the orientation changes, the location of the notification center and app switcher also change. This is because they're integrating with iOS's orientation switching functionality, by just listening for orientation change events from iOS and responding to them. What this game does, and also a couple of other games I've played which also make the user manually choose an orientation, is keep iOS's orientation locked and instead just flip the game graphics based on an in-game setting. This means when the graphics are reversed the notification center and app switcher are upside down. But you're right, the issue isn't directly about whether you use the accelerometer to do the switching, but rather whether you make it so iOS's orientation also changes along with the app's orientation. It's just that if you support orientation changes like 99% of other apps do, by listening for orientation change events, then you'll also indirectly be using the accelerometer. So in practice they're the same issue.
Did anyone manage to clear the first dungeon with mage? I think being a mage is totally useless.I'm mainly looking at any future equipment that might change the game drastically for mages only then will I invest in it. Also rogue is now my favorite class,Ability to dash through enemies is awesome and for anyone looking for quick gold it's 'the' class to go. Overall having a great time with the game,certainly one of best I've played on ios though the controls could use some help and so can some of the meaningless upgrades.
Flipping the phone orientation is in. Though we still need to fix notifications being upside down, woops. Some other issues came up anyway, so will probably put this on the list. Yeah I'd like to fix this in a future update. You can bait them out by standing still, but it would be nice if they just automatically came out if everyone else was dead, or something like that.
What are you thinking for the controls? Mage is getting buffed but I actually think Rogue is weaker (than Mage I mean). I think most people just either love or hate the Mage. Rogue's getting buffed too by the way, some in this update and some in the one after.
One small thing, can you guys change the color of the boar's pre charging warning effect to maybe yellow instead of red? Its difficult to notice him charging up when hitting him, since hitting him also makes him flash red. Just a suggestion, I have no idea if that would be a easy tweak or a difficult one. Edit: nvm I guess he doesn't flash, its just me hitting him
Mage was the hardest for me, but you have to learn to be conservative. Also, I don't get all the rogue hate. I thought rogue was one of the easiest.
Finally beat Gold with Spellsword...felt hollow; got three exits very near to floor starts, including the last two. Ain't complainin though, like the Cultist a lot
