All Adventurer swords work fine for me. Zombiemuscle, you need to calm down There was nothing threatening in that comment at all, it was just a friendly suggestion. Is this paragraph (from FB) talking about the update or the next game? Really confused at the moment.
Suggestion (and forgive me if it's been mentioned, I haven't read the entire thread): Add the ability to strike in 8 directions instead if 4. The enemies can do it, it'd be nice if the player could as well.
So the first three dungeons are going to have fewer floors? And what specifically does 'new encounters' entail (new enemies, new events, ...)?
Finally made it to gold boss with the Spellsword, one hit away from death The music in the final level is incredible. Haven't had the adrenaline flowing from a video game in a loooong time. Had a time circle and haste, popped both, wailed away. Skillfully dashed through a few magic attacks and got lucky with a few more, and had a rapid chain of 4 or 5 crits right as both items were wearin off. Got hit, but damn I was close. If only I hadn't had one panic moment when I entered a room of 4 Temerators... Vambraces of the Mist is my favorite upgrade. It saved me about five times throughout the dungeons. Also had the flame dash through enemies (2nd best just because I usually forget to start using it after I get it; really opens up his defensive strategy), and Phoenix Plume II, which is also good. The Spellsword gift of +50% to time items is invaluable on top of his individual bonus. Too drained to give it another go right now so I had to come add to the already-redundant raves. This game is somethin' else.
Which of these "gift" upgrades are worth getting? Ones that cost 5-7k and are shared among all those characters. Adventure has best one so far but im wondering just how much health per floor do i get. I hope its more than just 2% or something like that.
Gift of the Seeker (Adventurer) is probably the most useful. It gives you an extra +2 health per floor; for comparison, the base recovery for all characters is +8 health per floor. The Cultist (+3% crit chance) and Spellsword (+50% duration for Aged Hourglasses and Time Dust) Gifts are pretty significant upgrades as well, but those two characters have significantly higher upgrade costs than everyone else for some reason.
Enemies that have your style of attacks can only attack in 4 directions, though. Two other reasons we didn't do this for the player: Harder to control, and requires a lot more animations. Currently the dungeons are 5, 7, and 9 floors respectively. After the update it's 5, 7, 8, and 20 floors for the four dungeons. For the first three dungeons, some of the floors also had 6 monster rooms and these were reduced to 5 rooms. New rooms, new story encounters, new rare treasure rooms, some new enemies.
I had a link to an awesome page/guide and I lost it somehow? I'm pretty sure I found it in this thread but it has gotten so large I can't find it again. It was great it had a hat list and everything. If you have links to good pages and guides for Wayward Souls please share them, thanks
Anyone got a link on the badges? Top left missing for warrior and I've done gold dungeon, bought all upgrades for him but my gold dungeon achievement won't register despite beating it twice with him
Are these story encounters new character specific ones and, if so, how will those manifest for people who've already gone through the original arcs for the characters.
I'm so torn about this update. On one hand, I might be able to beat the gold dungeon now. But on the other, its not the REAL version of it.
YES that is what I was looking for! This is simple but well put together I hope there is more in depth info updates to this page. thank you!!!
Anyone get the Seeker Guise hat? Was wondering what it looks like and where it's found. I already have the excellent Gargoyle Guise. Asking because, you know, it's my name and these things are important. Thanks for any info.
