Found a fun exploit for warrior - using drakefire grease and taking out your shield shoots fire, so I just kept swinging and taking out my shield for rapid-fire amaranth kill in about 7 seconds
Characters with ammo abilities feel like they don't receive inventory items enough. Usually I just keep finding more ammo when my ammo is full and my items are empty. And characters have abilities that give a chance of ammo from enemies, while items can only appear from item boxes. So you can see how it's really annoying when I just keep not getting items from boxes. Maybe you could increase the chance of items a little? Or am I really unlucky?
I'll take a look at those two sections. Reset story button just flicks a switch on to say "repeat the story, even if you've seen it". They'll probably stay like they are, though the system annoys me a little. The characters that get items every time are balanced by them usually getting what we consider "bad items". Like the Rogue mostly gets Flash Bombs and the Spellsword gets an awful lot of sprite summons.
Yes. Ashflow: Items page looks good, except change "item chests" to "item crates" as that's what we call them. Updates page looks ok, I think the best way to do this is that I'll just post changelogs to both Facebook and here when the update is submitted, and they can be copy and pasted.
The intro boss? Technically. All it does right now is give you some debug text if you win. Later on, we'll make it more possible to legitimately beat the tutorial boss (it'd still be insanely difficult), and you'll get some sort of bonus for doing so. Maybe an achievement + early unlock for the Paladin class? That'd be nutty.
Any tips on killing the summoner in te gold dungeon as the rogue. Spell and warrior can use the diagonal trick but the rogue knife is dangerously short. WHat upgrades do you try?
You can safely hit them twice right after they use their dash attack, sidestep so they miss you, then repeat. You can also backstab them a few times when they use their revive move.
Yes!! I finally beat it, thank god! (The last floor's music is really epic) * The Cultist is pretty cool, wish I could have played her earlier....(She's kind of like a souped up Rogue) Guess I'll rank the characters now in terms of Favoritism 1.Rogue - She was my fav of the original 3 based on her speed 2.Warrior - He's probably the best character, once you learn how to shield.(he's the only char I've beaten the game with.) 3. Cultist - Only played her about an hour but I like her Style and Move-set. 4. Mage - Took awhile to figure out.. But once I did She became fun to play. Def. not my best char though. 5. SpellSword - At first I thought he sucked, hated the fact his charge took the whole bar etc.. But after playing I think he has probably the best and coolest Forge upgrades plus his unique scrolls) 6. Adventurer - Kinda feel like this character is a Waste of a spot.. He's basically a toned down Warrior, his moves aren't really useful except when you try to make him closer to the warrior by giving him a longer sword, shield etc.. Which makes him even more redundant, considering There's already the Paladin who's close to the Warrior.(not to mention the SpellSword who also uses a sword...obviously) I'd scrap this character in for another Mage type character (like The Sorcerer, Wizard, Warlock, Shaman, Necromancer etc..) or a ninja or pretty much anything else... (Sorry Cyril ur lame...)
Kepa what are some of the ways the paladin could possibly be unlocked? So far all of the options I've heard are: 1) Beat Diamond Dungeon with all characters (too hard, I think) 2) Die enough, then find paladin in rare encounter/miniboss 3) Defeat intro boss I think option 2 OR beating gold with all characters. Still hard, but not basically impossible.
In regards to ability use characters getting too many abilities and not enough items, I feel like the game is balanced. The spellsword for example, if you get the tamed sprite upgrade, is the easiest way to complete the third dungeon boss, even compared to hourglasses. I had mixed feelings about the rogue before but I believe her item pickups are very useful to make up for her lack of range on her attacks. Her dash is also excellent. Had only her and the cultist to beat the gold dungeon with and I found her dash to be the key to surviving whereas the cultist I am still having trouble with.
That would be awesome . . I was trying to put the story together and never Moved on past the intro was trying to beat it it was a futile but valiant effort lol. Does that story part of the main level stories?
I was just there I was kinda nervous going in but I had enough shields and health and I just kept wacking away...
I'm leaning towards all 3. You just have to do one thing though, just three different options. You'd get to pick. Though not sure about defeating the intro boss really, might be too easy.
My vote goes towards beating the tutorial boss. Or maybe give him infinite health (you can't defeat it) and you have to last X minutes to unlock the character, but without telling the player.
