dude, having extreme difficulty in a game aint no joke - it's a morose propaganda tool transmitted through frigid cordiality extenuated into the wretched enthralled gamers' minds - who, deceived by toughness over balance insist as a comely aspect in their plight to perpetually defend our subjects flaws - which a modicum of the aforementioned group would ever denote its existence. From this point of view it is clear, Rocketcat Games is worse than Communist USSR.
Ya it's a little bit too hard. Needs more health potions and more health from potions. I will be pissed if I can't beat every dungeon with every character. BUT still, if I had beaten every dungeon already I would probably be done playing it
Finally getting some time to get into this game its pretty good so far cant wait to get a little deeper.
@Kepa: thank you for taking the time to reply to my question and being so active here. Love the idea of unlocking the a Cultist after you have suffered enough. Will still reward players for keeping at it. My goal now is just to get my remaining characters there (Rogue and Spellsword).
The game is too hard for me. I don't have the patience, persistence and time to play over and over again. But I'm happy to support the PAID game model.
Souls games ain't even hard I did a level 0 run with my feet, first try. Back on topic, I also think unlocking the cultist and paladin for those who have persevered enough, but are still not skilled enough to get past the gold/diamond dungeon is awesome. It definitely gives me hope since I have a feeling I won't be beating the diamond dungeon with everyone, or really anyone, anytime soon.
Only recent game I can think of is the PC shooter XenoRaptor. Adds a lot of strategy since you make enemies kill themselves in a crossfire or lure melee enemies into hurting other enemies. You can even mind control bosses
Dark Souls, Demon Souls, Far Cry 1-3, all have friendly fire among (some) NPCs, afaik. There are also several other games.
Is it me or did a whole pile of new users role in? This game takes practice and isn't too hard. These folks obviously didn't play nes games as you can't even speak to how hard they were.
You are right: - I never cared about NES games. I played on my PCs. - Yes practice takes time and I don't have the time. Not a student anymore
I feel like im making progress and can get to the 2nd boss more often but sadly get destroyed byhis mad sword swinging skills. Still game is great and i will continue playing it.
He didn't use any angry or sarcastic tone, he was just asking you a genuine question and telling you that he thought it would be hard to add friendly fire. There was no need to get all angry and compare Rocketcat to the USSR.
This was one of the most glorious things I have ever read on the internet. I'm not sure if anyone has seen the YouTube series Real Actors Read Yelp but this would be so incredibly perfect for that. Bravo CalinR, Bravo. Seriously. Other people have posted things like "when I get hit I feel like it's my fault!" (WildBastion #1517). You are not alone jp, you are not alone... Oh yeah I remember you saying that about the mage bug, dang it, I agree with WooHooII that more health per floor is so much more useful than overall more health. For the gold dungeon e.g. +5 per floor could mean 40 extra health in the game, whereas an overall +5HP is really only gonna help a lot if you are clearing most floors with extra health to spare to take advantage of that 5HP. Which almost never happens to me with the mage, I'd just always not have full health after the first or second floor. How about this - keep the mage more health per floor upgrade AND the warrior's give everyone more health gift upgrade bugs in (i.e. pretend they were never bugs to begin with) and just get rid of health potions. I think the problem with potions is most other games that have them they are so much more frequent and crucial to strategy that even once you upgrade how much health they give you, the infrequency of them in this game will still be a big source of complaints amongst new players. Whereas with no potions people would realize you have to focus on the healing you get each floor. But I do feel like the mage definitely needs that ability to be upgraded. At least for mediocre players like myself. Plus that'll teach people to complain about potions, just take them away! Ha I'm kidding, I'm just trying to offer up some kind of sacrifice to keep the other health upgrades in. Also regarding mines, I think I missed my calling as a minesweeper because I have about a 1% success rate of avoiding being hit by a mine unless I have a character with a dash or shield ability. The problem is I am usually running around like a madman/woman trying to avoid the monsters so I don't have time to be looking for the faint outline of the mine that appears before you trigger it nor can I change directions in time once I hear the click. Anybody out there have any advice?
I'd tried hacking the paradin health just to see what will happen if I beat the intro... well.. yea.. the intro boss is beatable. But.. after winning I've just got a simple winning dialogue and nothing more( can control the character but can't get out of the boss room) Not sure what is the surprise that the game-dev talking about
I have 3 kids under 9 as well as a more than full time job. So I want to be together with my family in my spare time.
Probably a long shot request, but is there any possibility of unlocking/playing the upcoming Diamond (4th) dungeon without having first beaten Gold? I'm still trying to beat that bastard dungeon and will continue to do so. But I fear I won't be able to experience all the game's permutations if I keep failing so spectacularly. Obviously, I know this goes against the hardcore DNA that is so crucial to the game. I hope to earn the right to ball in the 4th dungeon but would really like to see it/die quickly on it even if Gold keeps smiting me. Think I know the answer to this ('No.') but thought I'd inquire anyway.
