So the game just crashed on me for the first time ever. Happened while I was doing a passive boss kill on Amaranth with Hassan (Drakeleather Spellbinder and Bloodboil Bands, not a single sword swipe and didn't even open the menu once). As soon as Amaranth started exploding in pretty colors, the game crashed and left me staring. Think there might be a connection between the crash and the completely passive kill? Just thought it was a weird coincidence and might be worth looking in to.

On the Gauntlet and unlocking it... perhaps have it unlocked automatically, but give those who beat the upcoming Diamond dungeon a per floor gold bonus (for example, times 1.0, 1.1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.8, 2.3) while traversing the Gauntlet, or something fairly insignificant like that. Actually, I should probably be more aware of the update plans before I start suggesting things...

    So planned updates (major additions):
    1-Diamond dungeon
    2-Guantlet (placement?), Endless Mode
3-Paladin class, pets, Monster Shopkeeper (placement?)

    Is that correct?

From what I've read, Diamond Dungeon is unlocked by beating Gold, obviously. Gauntlet is currently by beating Diamond with one character, subject to change. Endless, I don't know. Paladin was said to be by clearing Diamond with all characters. Pets/shopkeeper are not 'unlocks'.

Is that also correct for the most part?

Kepa, for the 3rd update when you introduce paladin, the way to unlock him/her should be something most people can attain, from the sound of diamond, doubt many people will be able to clear that dungeon...

Dungeon 3 and the upcoming 4 will gain a thing where you get more coins the deeper you go. Endless will be unlocked by beating Diamond with one character, same as Gauntlet. Beating Dungeon 3 will unlock Diamond, and also one extra dungeon, most likely the Arena (also likely in the second update). Paladin will still be from clearing Diamond with all characters.

Also third update will be way after the second update. Second update should have whatever we miss in update 1 that's high priority, including controller support. Updates after the third update may happen, and would be stuff like localization and other things we missed, with the occasional content addition.

I think I'd just make the Paladin a secret class. Like you don't even see that it exists unless you beat Diamond as all characters. Or you hear about it in here. I'll likely stick to this idea, since the Paladin is supposed to be the ending of the entire game.

Damn! Somehow I have a feeling unless the pets make a huge difference there won't be many people with the skills to unlock the Paladin. Maybe since it's the final update you slightly lower the difficulty so latecomers will have a chance to experience everything in the game.

2nd dungeon is a total walk in the park for me with all characters now but I still have yet to beat gold with anyone other than the warrior! I wouldn't increase gold payout tho, that's the one thing that really keeps players coming back to play again... Unless you add more secrets or gear to collect...

I just encountered a Temple of Blorpx area in the third dungeon, with some new enemies. Also found an awesome mummy hat on the way.

To the good folks at Rocketcat:

I'm sure all of these points have been touched upon already, but I don't care to sift through 200+ pages of posts to confirm. So here goes:

    • The amount of health one gains from a healing potion is a joke. Seriously. For as infrequently as they appear (at best it's been about once every dozen or so plays for me) the amount one regains from them is borderline insulting. Either make them refill a helluva lot more by default or up the drop rate by about 1000%.

    • Whether one's grinding for stats or gold, it's still grinding. And Wayward Souls has just a wee too much of it to support such a streamlined experience. This a good game, but it's not "log in at least as much time as Final Fantasy 7 without doing a fraction as much" good. Up the gold payout. Period.

    • On that note, guys, the difficulty. Really…it's stupid. I've played Wayward Souls Christ only knows how many times at this point and am still struggling to even beat the silver dungeon with the Warrior. It's become painfully clear the only way I'm gonna get anywhere in this game is to essentially max out every upgrade before some characters have even made it past the bronze dungeon (*cough*Mage*cough*).

    • Maybe some sort of dipswitch mode to incorporate the above suggestions is in order. That way everybody's happy. (Apart from the dicks who get offended at the mere presence of an easy mode.)

Oh, and how 'bout a little widescreen support for Mage Gauntlet while you're at it?

Random idea. I like to play after getting off work at nights so I'll often sit down and have some television on in the background. Any chance you could add a visible indicator that shows that all enemies have been dispatched in a room so that I know I can freely open chests and not have to worry about cloaked threshers. I have that advantage if I am playing with sound. Thanks for your reply.

I guess it all depends on play style, the Mage is the only person I was able to best the game with

Last floor of Amaranth's Keep leads nowhere:confused:

On a side note I notice that people who say they can't beat the bronze Dungeon with the Mage or say the Mage isn't good in general are the people just aren't that good at the game for some reason. I admit that the game is hard but the Mage's ability to do damage form far away offsets her low health and energy.(if she had the same health as the Warrior she'd be way too good.)

I feel like my health meter for Mage is smaller than other screenshots I have seen....is this possible? Also don't feel like using the swipe abilities replenishes my health.... Thoughts?

    Anyone else have this?

The first problem's either a perception issue on your part (not your fault) because of screenshot sizes and whatnot or bugged Warrior's Gift actuallyincreasing her health. Either way, it will be the same after the 1st update.

Mage's swipe abilities replenish her energy, not her health. Attack a bunch of times, use a swipe, and watch your energy jump back up a bit. Simple reading/comprehension mistake ;)

    Thanks for the insight....

Have beaten the silver dungeon with warrior and adventurer but having so much trouble with the Mage. I actually feel like I play better with her, but one bad room kills the whole run.

Does anyone know how to open the last door before Baron Amaranth?

I'm trying to attach a ss but I always have trouble getting that to work on the ipad.
