I did it! Funny, I got to the Fallen Kingdom with the Warrior first. I'm excited to try out the cultist, and resume the cycle of dying with the Mage once the first update hits!

That's the basis of the 'skip the first boss' glitch. You can move around (I've found that I have to attack or dash or something first before I can move) while Humphrey's appearing, and can make it through the door before it closes if you're fast enough. Pretty fun(ny) glitch, and I believe Kepa said they're leaving it in because it's awesome.

Wait, what? What is this shadow bomb invisi-glitch you speak of?

Haha, I did that on the final boss of Mage Gauntlet twice. Never knew what triggered it though. Do you have to use Shadow Bomb close to where you're standing, or right in the middle of an enemy, or both?

Anyone else think it would be cool to have kind of a hatiery (shows all the hats you do/don't have) and am eventeiry (the events you have and haven't encountered) and the ones you don't have/haven't encountered, it doesn't say anything about. Also, after Afew hours of playing, I've almost killed that boss on level 5 of dungeon one (is he the final boss of that dungeon?) and found 3 hats. Really fun game.

Use shadow bomb, and as the second one goes off, hit attack and youll be invisible (monsters can still see you)
EDIT: It doesn't have to be perfect timing.

No, when you use one it makes two bombs: one where you are and one where you're moving to. Hit attack when the one you're moving to explodes.

    Three comments/whatevers about forge upgrades:
    1) Cyril's Tamed Sprite upgrade doesn't damage enemies even slightly, although it says it's supposed to. I used 6 of the things in a row and couldn't even kill a stupid bat. Either a bug or misinformation in the description. Annoying either way :p
2)I agree with the posters who said that Abbie's Stave of Vazar should be a lot more like Cyril's Tears of the Ice Queen, which is a much better example of an ice attack than Abbie's weird (dare I say useless?) little snowstorm. It's current form is extremely underwhelming.
    3) Are there "tier 3" upgrades waiting for a chance to shine with more floors and more forge opportunities? Or is tier 2 the maximum for forge upgrades?

One idea that keeps wriggling into my mind when I play Wayward Souls is semi-persistent artifacts. These would add another layer of persistence without breaking the hardcore and randomized feel, and hopefully retain the roguelike atmosphere, and work as thus: players have a very small chance to find truly legendary items in dungeons (preferably from random but very strang wandering monsters, otherwise from chests or secrets). These items have a funky effect similar to the forge upgrades, but perhaps more notable in power level, and are probably class-specific.

Upon death, these items are lost. However, once found, there is a chance (small, but bigger than finding the actual artifact in the first place) for future heroes to come upon the corpse or tombstone of the fallen hero, where they can retrieve the item. (If finding the fallen hero could instead be linked to some sort of feat of skill, rare circumstance or anything other than another random roll, all the better.)

In this way, players would receive the satisfaction of a permanent acquisition, without unbalancing gameplay or permanently buffing their heroes.

If not this particular idea, this is an approximation of the kind of layer I'd like to see added to Wayward Souls for a slightly bigger sense of progression, without sacrificing the rogoulike element, randomness and hardcore sensation.

    Hat suggestions:

Missing Hood - Example flavor text: "Is this actually headgear, or are you just a headless corpse roaming a cursed tower?", "Now you too can be an invisible jerk! Or at least your head can.", "You stole this from a Missing Thief. How you stole an invisible hood from an invisible thief, you'll never know."

(Makes your head completely invisible, possibly with an outline for gameplay purposes.)

    ---

Gnomey Head - Ex. f.t.: "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?", "You can feel the power surging within you... the power of friendship!", "Deification complete."

(Gives you Gnomey's head, possibly with a hat that changes color for friendship purposes.)

    ---

Also make hats/heads for each member of the core RocketCat Team. Play as Kepa the Warrior, Jeremy the Spellsword, or Brandon the Adventurer.

So I've beat the second dungeon with everybody but the Rogue. Definitely fun playing as all the different characters. I've briefly attempted the third dungeon again with everybody but gave up after my cultist died on the first floor in a minefield without having even killed anyone. This perhaps should be a new achievement haha. I'll wait for the update to keep playing, not that it will help with the mines, but the buffs sound like they will be helpful.

I know this has been mentioned before, but Kepa please talk to your team about adding more gold to the third dungeon in the first update! I feel like the average gold per floor should increase as you progress in the game. I finally just bought my first gift upgrade (The Adventurer, which seemed the most useful) and it took forever to get enough gold.

    Some other probably farfetched ideas:

    1) Ability to play straight to next dungeon after beating a boss? I'm always bummed that I lose all my forge upgrades especially when I have ones I like. Maybe just give the ability to choose one of your upgrades to keep so it doesn't make it too unbalanced?

    2) I hate wasting a forge upgrade if I don't like the options, maybe always have an option for a very minor upgrade of your current item (like the ones with increased critical change) or something that will allow a level II upgrade at next forge? Especially if I make a trek to the other side of a dungeon once I have found the stairs in a usually ill thought out plan that a forge upgrade will somehow make that particular run a winning one.

    3) Gold bonus for cleaning a floor without losing any health. This always seems a like a remarkable feat to me and I feel like I should somehow be rewarded ha. Maybe also a gold bonus when you die for the number of enemies you have killed. Even if it's one gold per enemy.

    4) I've seen this request before, but I wanna throw in my vote for actual stats on things especially HPs. I still have no idea what +1 health is percentage wise. When you are spending 5000 hard earned gold on a gift upgrade, it'd be helpful to know exactly how much each one is going to help you, so you can make an informed decision.
