Wow so far I'm up to the part where Doctor Manhattan was accused of giving cancer to people.. I got so aggravated. And man!, the comedian. The flashbacks about him are shocking lol.
I liked the movie. I'm gonna buy the novel this weekend. Is it better? My two favorite characters are The Comedian and Rorshach. Too bad... EDIT- Lol how did I manage to mispell "Rorshach"?
I loved the movie, mind you I also love Fight Club. Another great dense and dark flick told in a film noir introspective style. Also, Watchmen the Saturday Morning Cartoon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDDHHrt6l4w Polar opposite of the book/movie.
Yeah, didn't it happen twice? By the super hero he tried to rape, and the Vietnamese girl who he got pregnant?
I think he only gets it cut when by the Vietnamese girl. I think he just gets beat up when he tries to rape the Silk Spectre.
Oh, I thought she like clawed or something at his face, which led to him getting mad and beating her up... but then Hooded Justice beat the shit out of him.
Nah, only once. But yes, i was referring to the Vietnamese chick. "Ahhh you bitch!" BAM BAM DEAD. Also it really shows how the doc feels towards humans. I dont remember the exact quote but i think he said something like he could have made it shoot flowers(?) or or something and he didnt.
I wanted to watch the movie. But I googled why it was rated R and it said there was nudity. (language and violence doesn't matter) How much Nudity is there? Alot? not that much? etc. I'm not over 18, so If I go with my older sibblings to let me into the theatre it'll be weird if there is nudity.
Yeah, the comedian's like "oh you could've made it into steam, or make it evaporate.." or something like that.. But man, I just read even more last night and today, and is it awesome! It keeps getting better and better. I'm up to the part where Dr. Manhattan goes to Mars cause he can't take it anymore. Did anybody read the little bits in between each chapter?
Yes I have read the "ENTIRE" book multiple times. The pirate series illustrates how in a world where superhero's are real, nobody wants to read about them anymore, hence the popularity of "pirate" comics. It's also an allegory to Ozymandia's story. Try and see how many "smiley faces" you can find in the novel....Glad you're loving it, I wish everyone would read it.
