Obviously you're gonna know it's not real since the Na'vi don't actually exist... but at the very least some parts will make you think "surely that's a guy in prosthetics and make up...", not to mention the fact that a good portion of the scenery is CGI as well, everyone expects the blue dudes to be computer generated, but they'll probably be fooled by other stuff in the background. I hear the movie is around 60% CGI, 40% real, and a few miniature models in there too.
BEST MOVIE EVER. Better than District 9, LOTR, forget everything you know, THIS is the best ever. Watch it in IMAX 3D. It costs more, but I woul seriously pay $20+ to watch this movie. Watching it again on Saturday.
I saw it two days ago. For some reason it was out first in New Zealand. It was a bit, 'over-hyped in terms of a memorable plot, but visually stunning. I hold firm at 9.5 out of 10, because it's rather mind blowing.
I would say 9.5 is good, but in IMAX 3D with the big screen and the AMAZING 3D and sound... 12/10. No lie.
I think it is good, a bit cliched at times and drags on in the middle, it is also way too reminiscent of Halo. Highlight to reveal, a tiny bit spoilery But the ending was just an orgy of brilliantly made action scenes culminating in an awesome 1 on 1 battle, but i must ask the question, who designed the robots suits. Surely giving them a gun just means they are likely to be disarmed, they should have built in guns in their arms
Ahh man, still a month and one day till I get to see it! Even though I'll be seeing it in 3D at IMAX, I'm already looking forward to buying the blu-ray too and watching it at home with my family
