I need fps!!!! Not funny again -____-... Btw..It would be freaken weird..but awsome..if this game was a FPS (first person shooter)...O.O...I highly doubt it!! You know..I want a 3'rd person or a 1'st person shooter...Something a bit like SOCOM...
I'm hoping for something along the lines of cannon fodder (a top down shooter). I think that it will either be a 2D platformer or a top down 2D or 3D shooter. It's interesting how Freeverse hasn't given us much information about it, but it seems to be a good marketing strategy, leaving people guessing and hoping.

It's not an FPS. There are a lot of FPS games coming, there are only a few FPS specialists that can get the controls right and it's a bit of a saturated market (and Warpack: Grunts is a lot more of a fun genre )
I think there's going to be an official release of info at a party that's going on at WWDC on the 8th (I'm going to be here in the UK fine tuning the Grunts submission and working on our other iPhone game that's due for a later release, so no partying for me )

Yeah, thats a marketing strategy for ya. We don't know what the game is about, and that is what is creating all the hype and interest. If they had just told us straight, we probably wouldn't be so interested. A similar thing is going on with 'Race to the moon'. They are going to give beta versions to some beta testers, but we don't even know what the game is called, let alone what it is about. Yet, because of this, it has sparked quite a big interest here on TA with a big thread of 100+ posts.

I'll bet it's gonna be gay. Hahaha I'm just kidding. I'm really excited. I hope it's some sort of strategy game where you control of squad of soldiers, each with their own unique abilities.
I hope this game will be like Contra and if not maybe the next one you make. As far as the comment somebody posted about Flick bowling I think it is a great game that has never been deleted from my I-touch.
