If you go back and read through this thread, you'll see that the iPhone version of Warpgate was all-but-finished and the release was delayed while the iPad version was developed. Strategically it makes sense to do a dual release to maximize a small advertising budget, so Freeverse is no doubt pretty pissed that the iPhone version isn't through certification yet. However, back to the point at hand, it was their choice to delay the release, and now Apple's focus on the iPad release is biting them. Not that it affects my desire to purchase the game in any way. I've been waiting for an Escape Velocity-type game since purchasing an iPhone. Space Miner was a nice diversion but didn't really scratch that itch. Another week or so isn't going to kill me.
Well here's hoping Hippieman has some good news today about the progress of the Touch and iPhone version. And does anyone know if the SDK that Apple released for Touch and iPhone developers can allow you to program for the iPad?
It is almost midnight New Zealand time...guess we can check for Warpgate (and Pocket Legends) in a few minutes.
If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Thursday. It just seems right to me based on times. But as of this posting we are still in review.
Don't hold me to Thursday. I really don't want to disappoint everyone. And I'm sorry if the banners seem to mock. It was not our intention.
Is that a don't hold me to Thursday because I don't want people being pissed off at me if it doesn't get released by Thursday? Or is that its probably going to take longer, don't hold me to Thursday?
