I guess I thought the iphone version was already approved and you all just held it back until the ipad release. Seems like Apple has really slowed down the release time on iphone games this week. I know that Above and the Ice Hockey game are waiting as well.
Wait, is the iPhone and iPod Touch version getting held back until the release of the iPad version? Kind of doesn't make sense, if your getting an iPad your probably going to buy the iPad version.
Shit if the iPad version has cleared the process you would think the iPod/iPhone version would have too. Unless they have it set for a release on Saturday, at which it won't be on the store until then. Its out for the iPad but we can't play it, but we have iPhone's and Touches but no Warp Gate. Fate and the universe are cruel bitches.
Seems like Apple either has diverted attention to iPad or there are seperate teams working to review iPad and iPod+iPhone games. I think other games like Mirrors Edge have the same issues.

Missiles are guided. Lasers are instant, and Plasma have to travel to the target. Targeting is handled quasi automatically. What I mean is, you are always locked onto an enemy. In 1 vs 1 combat, you can't not be locked on. When multiple ships are involved, you can choose a target (friendly or enemy) to attack. Also The iPhone version is still in review. I had hoped it would be cleared by now. Fingers crossed. But it seems a lot of stuff has stalled out. I was talking with Ian Marsh (developer of Scoops, etc...) and he has an update that is nearing 15 days in review. Yikes!
Very strange. I wonder what exactly Apple does during a review. I remember thinking there wouldn't be any problems because you announced that you had submitted on the 26th and then an hour and a half later Gamevil announced that they had submitted Zenonia 2.
Thank you for the update, Hippieman. I've been waiting for Warp Gate for ages, and will buy it immediately once it's released.
1 word or 2 The question that's been floating around in my head for the longest time has finally been answered. "Warpgate" is one word, not two. The original marketing seemed unable to make up its mind, and even the title of this thread got it wrong. I wonder how many executive meetings were held to finally make that decision.
Hippieman I have another question if you can answer it. In Warp Gate from the details released their are going to be 172 ships, are they of varying classes such as fighter, corvette, capital ship, etc? Or are they just varying sizes of fighters? And if their are different classes, I would assume they have different handling characteristics. A capital ship wouldn't turn faster than a fighter?

Warpgate, one word. Ships. Humans have different classes, as do the aliens. Human Ships are: Barracuda Class - Small one man craft for short trips. The Barracuda class ships don't appear in game and are only referenced in story (and are not part of the ship count) Hydra Class - Small fighters. About the size of a fighter jet. Lots of pirates have Hydra Class ships. They are the early ships you encounter. They can turn fast. Ishikari Class - These are the first multi-crew sized starships. This would be like a ship with a crew of 8 people. These ships still can do tight turns and bank (yeah banking in space makes no sense, but it looks cool). Kirov Class Battlecruiser - These are the smallest of the "Battlecrusiers" they take longer to turn around and do more A to B then turn then go to C type moves. Centaur Class Battlecruiser - The heavy hitters of the human Militaries. These are very large ships that nearly come to a complete stop to turn in battle. Nimitz Class Galactic Cruiser - There are only two ships in the game of this class. These are floating cities. If the Centaur Class are Star Destroyers, this is a Super Star Destroyer. The Alien species have their own classes and specs.
