Is this game playable on a iPhone 3GS after the new Update? I mean playable not smooth as on a 4S :)

I want this game but if I can't complete MP games then I'll wait until I get the 4S.

Re-downloaded for the update to give it another shot.

    "Gamespy is currently unvailable"

    Great.

    Whoa...

Ok. That was a one-time glitch it seems.

At first I was really disappointed with this game and thought it was a piece of shit. The framerate was abysmal and with glaring lack of polish and many aspects of the game in a beta-like state, I thought there is no way these devs know what they're doing.

    However...

With the new update, even though the framerate is still bad, it is a bit better and the game is now playable. What came as a very pleasant surprise is that I am REALLY enjoying the game now that the framerate is somewhat bearable. It's actually hard to put down now! It's by far the best multiplayer fps experience on the platform for me (and I LOVED Nova 2's multiplayer).

This has massive potential, rock on Emotional Robots, make sure to keep those updates and optimizations coming.

edit: I'd like to emphasize that I was possibly the one bashing the game the hardest before in this thread so... It says something if the game can still convince someone like me :D.

further edit: some additional notes, now that I can test it with a decent framerate, hey, these controls are actually solid! I like em. Not too sure about the odd exponential increase in sensitivity and stuff but all in all, it works well.

    Current main gripes:
    - framerate on iPhone 4 still (obviously)
    - turning off music and playing iPod music instead mutes all sound fx (even though they're at max volume in settings), and what is a good multiplayer fraggin' without playing your own rockin' beats in the background? ;)

I didn't get the game before the update, but with the framerate as it is now (pretty bad, can't play online with my 4th gen because of it...) I can only imagine what you guys who got the game when it first came out experienced. Hoping for another performance update, but it's nice that until then I can get use to the controls, gameplay and characters while offline in a pretty smooth setting. But is it just me, or could the controls use some tightening up? I'm really not use to still moving after lifting my finger up from turning... Maybe I just need to play more... =o/

I don't expect the game to be as smooth online as it is off - just wanted to get that out there too...

Would be AWESOME if you guys implemented MC2 type controls...

To the devs: you guys must be getting overwhelmed right now with feedback but I think top priority might be just to focus on the user experience of the game, not so much additional features. Make sure it feels right to an as big as possible of an audience. This means framerate, possibly controls too and just ironing out the kinks and making everything as smooth as possible. But I think you guys know that because otherwise the core gameplay wouldn't be this great :).

Just some speculation here...but before v1.04 came out, I did a quick trial run on multiplayer to see the difference between 1.03 and 1.04 (which is huge, by the way. So much fun!). Anyways, I noticed that there were 2 games on the server that had no name, but listed as 16/16 under player category....so is this a possible update in the future that the devs let slip through? I sure hope so, as 8v8 would be epic, as well as an iOS FPS, multiplayer first. WarmGunner, any comments?

Here's a screenshot a bit later on...only one server this time...

Haha, finally successfully played my first online game, and was "Top Gunslinger"

It'd be nice to see stats between games... No idea how many kills I had, must have been at least 10, and died twice...

Anywho, game rocks, and agree with Reese... As I'm sure you guys already know, adding more stuff to an unstable game is kind of pointless...

Anywho, great fun! Hope the online battles last longer than most MP games (a month or two?)

I wish it were that simple! the 16/16 servers without names are actually normal servers that are timing out from the master server list. (The server was brought down, but it takes the master server a while to notice sometimes...)

That being said, we are currently exploring the potential to increase our player max from 4 to 6 or 8, but 16 is definitely not a possibility quite yet. We have many critical things to patch and improve (especially in the framerate department for iphone4) before we can consider supporting that many players.

We understand the desire for 16 player servers, and in all honesty we'd love to see it too. When the time comes, it might involve a compromise where only ipad2 and iphone4s devices can connect to larger servers--so that an acceptable framerate is maintained. For the time being however, we're concentrating on improvements that affect all devices.

    much better but...

Yikes...framerates are definitely better but geez the aiming controlls are sensitive...any hope for a way to add some kind of user adjustment for that...there may be those steady handed enough to deal with it but for many of us the increase in sensitivity makes it nearly unplayable for a whole different reason now. Its looks great but it feels like the character has parkinsons when trying to shoot anything. :)

There are individual sensitivity settings for aim stick, fire stick, and background swiping. Hope a lower setting works better for you!

Okay, so I took the chance and purchased this game knowing it may not run stable with my iPhone 3GS. After I installed the App I made a Hard Reset... After playing 2 minutes in OFFLINE mode, the game crashed with a debugging message popping Up. After the crash I wanted to try the Multiplayer mode, but could not register a new account. Damn!

I hope they will look at the problems for the old 3GS devices and not just focus on the iPad 2 and 4S?.

The frame rate is a lot better, but the controls still stink... I hope future updates breathe some life into this game. As of now the admission price is far from justified.

    Hey guys,

I'm a beta tester for warm gun and believe me, all the issues you guys are talking about are being worked on. Crosshair, lag, controls, it's all being fixed. The devs at Warmgun really care and are working non stop to fix everything. This game will be really great with all the updates, which will be fast and furious!

Oh well, 8 is perfect in my eyes at least.

Been playing lots of Guild Wars 4v4 arenas.

Sorry if the question has been asked but will this game support GameCenter with Leaderboard and achievements?

We switched from GameCenter in favor of Gamespy for a number of reasons (including support for cross-platform dedicated servers), and will be porting our leaderboard and achievement code over in future patches.

Upgraded to 1.04. Nice version, but still needs some performance tweaks. I want see this running like MC2 :D

    Some suggestions:

    - Ironsight for most weapons;
    - Customizable buttons place;
