Well, even with all the developer shenanigans, me and my son have been enjoying HFDD immensely (in fact he now runs around the house singing "Death Defyer!"). Personally I think it works as a game, even if it has design and control problems. It also feels fresh and original, not just art-wise but in gameplay.

With Warm Gun, even if you got everything working properly, there really is not much "there" there. The lack of ranking and stat tracking is a huge issue, and even the whole idea of classes seems wasted in a 4-player deathmatch -- they really should have gone for Team Fortress style team deathmatches, where classes can complement each other. Not to mention that the original PC design called for traps and other environmental interactions that are nowhere to be found in this version.

This is not the first multiplayer shooter in the App Store. I can credit the visuals and the overall originality of the setting (and with tweaks, the game may get a nice "solid" feel to it that may set it apart from Gameloft shooters), but as far as a multiplayer gaming experience, Warm Gun doesn't even reach Eliminate levels. And that's saying something.

This is what I don't understand. I mean 1 minute into an offline match and I could see the bots just standing there. The blacksmith is the worst... he'll just stand there swinging his axe or whatever like an idiot while you stare at him. Also the first game I got into, the framerate was unplayable. How do these things go unnoticed? The crashes? Settings not being saved? Man oh man.

During offline matches, it fires without me pressing the shoot button & then sometimes when I press the shoot button it won't fire.

i'm confused about the low framerate talk, this is very playable on my first gen iPad, with framerate never dropping below around 20fps.. It runs the same as Infinity Blade.

It is very glitchy though, changes to the control setup aren't always saving, bots get stuck all the time too, and plenty of crashes on launch

Maybe beta testing is not actually for testing. Just for some people to get first crack at the game, then get a free copy when it releases?

Either that or this was beta tested by a group of monkeys.

The deal may be that there isn't a Fire button (!). In CoB the button in the right corner is for aiming and firing is done by tapping away from any of the buttons. I ended up ignoring the button and dragging my finger on the screen to aim then tap to fire. The reload button comes in handy since reload times can be long.

I have reason to doubt it. Mind you, anyone who's spent 5 minutes playing it would too.

Actually Gameloft is at 12 players online right now (9mm and Silent ops have 12), wich just makes this game look even worse in comparison.

I think he means 4 players online in one match, but i could be wrong, i agree though, 2v2 is far to lacking in today's ios gaming

    Alright my comments on these
1.) completely agree this should be fixed asap.
2.)Also agree this shouldn't have been an issue in the first place.
3.) This im not too sure of. I found the controls playable and decent. sure there is the accidental fire here and there but the honestly not that bad
4.)At least they have offline features but online is WAAAAAYYYY more of importance right now.
5.) Gameloft has over 4000 employees and special private servers for everything. ER doesnt. but this could be improved in the future but lets fix what we have now then add more.

once again just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all the support and feedback.

I know some of you are bummed out on your purchase and for that we just want to say... there are big updates on the way. It's going to be a monster when its finished and your purchase will be well worth it.

We are working hard to correct the shortcomings and step things up a notch.
Being indie is tough and we expected some fallback, but we stand true to our words. "Release early and Update often."

This game is just starting to take flight, you can bet your last dollar that we will see this through to the end.

keep those comments and suggestions flowing, we thrive on this stuff!

PS. @MadFingerGames - You guys rock, thanks for showing the indie love!

Suggestion..bots should rejoin an online match after someone leaves, IMO. People have something to do while they wait for others to join. No one is really going to run around an empty map waiting for people.

The game misses progressive rankings in multiplayer and singleplayer.
Vs bots needs to be harder i always win
Online: the match suddenly stops you dont know how much kills you have and how much you need.
    Framerate " lags are bad
For the rest I love it!!

This is fixed, our latest update will now auto populate servers with bots as real players join and leave.

Updates for frame loss and lag are also in, once apple approves you guys should see some significant improvements.

Thanks again for the feedback, keep it coming!
