The developer said it'd be released across all of the AppStores simultaneously when Warm Gun was approved. I'm pretty sure he read the question just fine. His reply to your post was a little strange though, lol.
Aha, I see Thanks for clarifying. Well, "No... It comes out when it's approved." doesn't really communicate that the devs intend to release it simultaneously across the globe (as games that come out when approved are released first in the NZ, unlike games that are delayed to be released at a certain point in time), so my point more or less holds
I just want the game, lol. I'm actually really excited to get back into some 2v2 games. They're equally, if not more fun, than 10+ player games if done right, and this one sure looks like it's done right.

Good question. I'm trying to recall if I've ever seen a simultaneous release before. I know developers have control over on which date to release a game, as long as the game has been approved,, but I figured they still have to conform to the gradual/time zone-based release scheme. It would be nice if this is not so, especially for a game like Warm Gun, where it would be nice to see a large influx of players as soon as the game hits, without having to wait for those guys across the Atlantic to mosey on into town Bah, all them wise guys are over in the strategy threads anyways! games can come out whenever. the reason NZ gets it first is when they set a day. say thursday 9/29. its thursday first in nz thats why it comes out first i remember that eternal legacy came out of nowhere and was available in all markets

Actually the Wednesday Night/Thursday releases are for when developers submit a game to Apple and let Apple publish it.... Games can be published when developers want once they have been accepted but it's been a fashion for main developers to submit games on one night as it gives them a better chance of winning GOTW.
I hope they dont aim for the gotw. Its really obvious that even though they release it this week, they will still get the gotw next week. There isnt really a game that will release next week with awesome graphics
Not really. There are still some high quality releases that could come out next week (such as Mage Gauntlet)
SIngle Player shooting gallery is free Multiplayer mode $4.99 Something like that which is nice. As much as I am enjoying shadowguns graphics right now I was more excited about this games multipayer mode. I hope it releases soon!
Maybe there is some bugs or something. Apple could just be putting off approval until Tuesday. Give it some space between Shadowgun and have it sync up with the new iPhone reveal. Like look at the new games that are coming out sort of thing.
On twitter they have said universal app and as soon as approved they will click go to release immediately
