I can't stand waiting anymore. I'm going all in on this one, I can tell already I'm going to love it.
It depends on the difficulty you're playing in. If all your characters die, you will be able to retry the dungeon. Or move to a different dungeon if you'd rather not do that right now. All experience and loot acquired in that dungeon will be lost - meaning, you will only have the loot and experience you had before starting the dungeon, if I recall correctly. If you're playing on Hardcore, like Pitta, the characters who die in a dungeon will be lost forever, together with their equipment. Which means that if you lose your entire party, you will have to go to town and get new party members.
Ok my last question , scouts honor So are you able to replay dungeons you have cleared to gain experience? Say if you're having a hard time with a particular area or dungeon , you could go to a previous one to gain some xp and maybe loot to help beef up. Savvy ? And thanks for the info !
Would like to know this too. And is there kind of New Game Plus? Also, is there lore and worldbuilding stuff like books, scrolls, item descriptions, historical info on towns and areas, etc.?
I think you have a pretty clear idea of what to expect. I can't remember if I already posted this, but for the curious among you all, this video show pretty well how you actually play a Warhammer Quest boardgame game....this is where everything started http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAr67DEd5B4 (You can skip to minute 3.20 to see actual play) As Vogelmann said, keep in mind that Rodeo Games made a video game. If you weren't told, you won't ever see it's based on a boardgame. The cool thing is that, if you are familiar with the boardgame, you will recognize everything and even know what the CPU is doing under the hood.
It's not a problem, if you ever get stuck in a main quest dungeon, you will always have infinite random quests to pick up to level up and get loot. Or die trying
Wait, there are randomized dungeons as well? So basically endless replay value? Awesome Oh and can you just give a simple yes or no to whether there is lore and ingame worldbuilding info like histories of areas, biographical info, books/scrolls, bestiary etc? No details needed, just would like to know whether that kind of stuff is in the game because I know nothing about the Warhammer universe
Yes. But to be fair, the Warhammer lore is so huge it's impossible to detail in a game like this (which is very Warhammerish but I recognize it because I already know the lore). It is a very dark middle age/Nordic/Teutonic inspired fantasy. It's light years from the fairy world of Lord of the Rings or Forgotten Realms. If you google it you will find tons of websites devoted to every aspect of the Old World.
Okay, great. I was looking up stuff online but there's so much it can be overwhelming. That's why I like the ingame stuff, because it's usually concise but still informative Games like Mass Effect and Skyrim, I found the historical background and biographical info more fascinating and engrossing than the main plot
Ok this is a bit out of place, but I've been playing hunters 2 in anticipation for this, but I'm forced to play on my iPod 4gen (which is terribly slow and glitchy now) because I've gotten quite far into my second playthrough and I don want to give up my progress. Any chane it will be getting iCloud after the release of warhammer? That would be phenomenal.
I was just checking in case it was accidentally released early. So close now, just need to clear some space on my iPad for it. Speaking of which do we have an idea of install size? -- edit aha found it on page 39, last beta was 793mb, so I need a bit more space yet.
