I have no clue about the internal rendering resolution of the game, but playing it certinly looks razor sharp retina to me (iPad 3). It's amazing too, expecially when in motion you see those cool bump mapped surfaces.
Pitta is buying the skaven dlc going to throw off main game progress or did they keep it as its own separate campaign. I'm gonna buy it but want to make sure I don't take anything away from the core game as I'm assuming you can mix the two together for random dungeons just like the board game.
I'm curious about this too, but I don't think Pitta or the other testers can say anything because of the NDA?
I think it is okay to say something about that: you can play the main story and the Skaven dlc parallel. So you can pickup the dlc right from the beginning, that's no problem at all!
Thanks, Vogelman. So, they are two seperate "campaign's" that can be played at the same time, but they don't intertwine? I apologize for my confusion.
Yay, just bought a 50€ iTunes card for 40€; surprisingly, they were discounted in my Telekom shop. Means: WHQ and an expansion for free.
I tried to refrain from playing since the announcement without any real success tough, despite having bought nice and absorbing games too (like Eclipse). I want to replay the whole campaigns fully when starting next week in the official release but the hardcore mode is calling... Did an AMAZING hardcore dungeon today, barely made it out. I was lucky with a junction and one ambush, one more monster and my whole party would have perished. No potions left, no magic, no rings, nothing...just few HPs. Sweating at every move. Since somehow it has already been stated and asked...I see no harm in telling why I'll buy the expansion on day one (besides abviously wanting to show support waiting for next expansions, hopefully many of them). It actually adds a whole region you can access immediately. You can go there while simply exploring the world, it's not a separate thing, and that's what I particularly love about the expansion (and I can't wait for more). Traversing the world take time, many things can happen. Probalby it's a very small thing for many, but for me added a new layer of immersion with the world exploration. As for the question if the main quests interwine....I won't tell, it would be a spoiler Play it and find out!!! I will say that the last dungeons of both campaigns are simply amazing (yes they are somewhat different from the rest). I really loved them...can't wait to replay those (expansion ones in particular). I think that Rodeo Games devs really outdone themselves there, they where able to create a wonderful RPG-ish experience in a game that is not a properly RPG.
Now it's 50 hours 32 minutes! Edit: 50 hours 31 minutes! Edit 2: 50 hours 30 minutes! Edit 3: 50 hours 29 minutes! Edit 4: 50 hours 28 minutes! Edit 5: 50 hours 27 minutes! Edit 6: 50 hours 26 minutes! Edit 7: 50 hours 25 minutes! (That's the last one )
If you kept that going every minute until it releases, I might be inclined to gift the jamb thing to you!! But I'm too broke ass broke to even consider it. I would miss a supper and lunch for this baby, though.
Now that the game is imminent, I've asked and I've been told I can speak freely about Warhammer Quest (no spoilers or prices of course). So if you have any questions, I'll try to answer.
What about the file size if installed, how many gc archievments are there and what is the price for new heroes and the first expansion?
What's the level cap? How is equipment handled? Do they drop often as loot or do you buy them with gold in towns? Thanks in advance pitta...
Hi there. My questions are if you can have 4 heroes each mission can I still have more heroes back at 'camp'? And mix and match my heroes as desired? Loved hunters 1 and 2 and glad they seem to have permadeath in this Without doubt getting day 1 and most likely the dlc packs Many thanks
