"Turn-based iOS game Warhammer Quest launches on Thursday 30th May, developer Rodeo Games has told Eurogamer. Warhammer Quest, from the makers of Hunters, is based on the 1995 Warhammer spin-off fantasy table-top game and features classic top-down turn-based strategy gameplay. The game supports iOS 6 and above, so you'll need an iPhone 3GS, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4 or above. It's a Universal App that also supports multiple cloud saves, so you'll be able to play the same Warriors on whichever devices you like. It costs £2.99 / $4.99." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-05-23-turn-based-ios-game-warhammer-quest-out-next-week

In it you control a party of four warriors in search of lovely treasure. You travel through the dungeons of the Old World battling beasts and all sorts
If the game's 5 bucks then I guess the IAP's are gonna be like 3 bucks for expansions, and one for additional characters each. Way below my expectations...I was ready for paying double for each
Great news !!! Price is superb for what we'll get I hope they can also tell us the filesize, i dont mind what it is but i need to free up some space ready
I'm really surprised by the price of the game, I thought it would have been much higher. I hope this will bring the game to a much wider odience. I'm already training my mind not to explode when I'll read things like: 'I'll wait for a sale'.
Can someone who is familiar with the boardgame answer me a question: how many different warriors are there in the boardgame? In the app we are starting with seven different warriors, I wonder how much more we can expect in the future! And waht are your favorite warriors?
Same here I was expecting at least £4.99 (I think that's what hunters launched at) well either way INSTABUY, now its just the waiting game, which is the worst game ever,
Yay. Finally. I need a bucket, too. I am going to be sick. The price could also be an introductory sale for early adopters. I expect the initial price to be lower, like giving you the first fix and the expansions / character come at a bit higher price. As I said, 3 bucks for characters and 5-6 bucks for expansions. But I'm just guessing.
In the original boardgame there were 4 (barbarian, wizard, dwarf and elf). During the course of years GW slightly modified the original 4 (in the videogame you get the 'latest version' of the original 4:Marauder, Gray Wizard, Dwarf Ironbreaker and Elf Waywatcher) plus added (for a price) new miniatures with their new skill tree and such. You will get 3 of them initially, as iaps, as already stated. here you can find a list...I'm not sure it's complete but they list 20 warriors. http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/322730/twenty-warhammer-quest-warrior-characters-vote In the course of the years GW published 2 main expansions too plus many 'semiofficial' ones published by White Dwarf.
Well I guessed it will be 4.99$ just like the hunter series..Specially since there are expansions and other IAP stuff...Not surprised at all..
Mentally, I have already bought the game and any IAP expansions and characters! This will be a permenant fixture on my iPad much like Hunters 2! Now if we game just get a 40k game in the same vein with all the races and such! I can't wait until next week!
I've been playing RPG's since the mid 80's, so I have played more than I can remember. I have played many games that required grinding, but it was never my favorite aspect of a game. If the game was good enough, I would endure it to get to the end and if the game wasn't holding my interest I would abandon it and start another one. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and that's why it's so great to have so many options.
Pitta, you and I seem to have a very similar philosophy regarding our RPG's, as I'm with you 100% on this.
